elevated OiBYd Obituary
Jose Romao de Freitas Escorcio
elevated OiBYd It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Romao Escorcio on Thursday May 20, 2021 at the age of 76. He passed peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Cherished and beloved husband of Zeferina for 53 years. Adored father of Kenneth (Rosa) and Zachary (Jessica). Treasured grandfather to Alessia, Matteo, Emilia and Samantha.
elevated OiBYd He will be lovingly remembered by his many family members and friends in Portugal, Venezuela, USA, Brazil, South Africa and Canada. Our dad filled our home with love kindness and laughter. He enjoyed Portuguese Fado music and food and loved traveling back to his homeland of Madeira yearly to reconnect with family and friends. He loved to tell stories and reminisce about the old days. He enjoyed watching futebol and cheering on his favourite teams “Sporting” & “Nacional”. Our father was a wonderful thoughtful soul who always cared about those less fortunate and helping family and friends when he could.
elevated OiBYd Special thanks to the all the doctors at Toronto General Hospital who supported him during his liver transplant. Also, to the kind and compassionate health care team at Credit Valley Hospital and to the wonderful caring PSW’s from Care Partners of Mississauga who helped care for our father
elevated OiBYd Due to COVID-19 regulations, the funeral will be limited to immediate family only, however live stream is available at the above link.
elevated OiBYd His final resting place will be Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga, ON.

Tio… you will be missed. We had wonderful times over the years that will be cherished.
Our prayers 🙏 goes out to you and family.
I will always remember him as a person who was sincere and genuine. Very athletic, reffing soccer for as long as his knees would allow, saddened when he could no longer do it. Did not see him for many years but know he loved his children and wife very much.
Goodbye Mr. Escorcio and thank you for your respect and kindness.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Escorcio Family. I will always have fond memories of Romao and his sense of humor, especially when he and Mario were together. They would discuss their soccer knowledge and try to see which one had the funnier joke. Cherish the memories and may God give your family strength.
