elevated xdq2j Passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023, in Toronto, at the age of 67 years, with his wife and children by his side.
elevated xdq2j He was a devoted husband to Elaine and loving father to Jennifer and Joey. Predeceased by his parents Xavier and Theresa. Brother to Elisabeth (late; Frank), George, Helen (Ed), Barb (Tim). Uncle to the (late; Michael), Robert, Damian, Christopher, David and the (late; Timothy).
elevated xdq2j Joe was loved and deeply cherished by the Petroff and Vulcan family. They will miss him dearly, as he was their brother in law and uncle.
elevated xdq2j Joe will be missed by his good, longtime friend Alfred.
elevated xdq2j Joe worked at Canadian Pacific Railway for over 40 years where he made many lasting friendships.
elevated xdq2j The Bielmeier family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ICU unit at North York General Hospital. In memory of Joe, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I am deeply saddened by your passing, but I am grateful for having an amazing uncle in my life. You will always be remembered and will always be in my thoughts. Elaine, Jennifer, and Joey, my deepest condolences and love in this tough time, I know he is watching over you.
Elaine, I am so, so very sorry on the tremendous loss of Joe.
He was such a nice and kind person. He was always smiling and laughing.
I had the privilege of knowing him my whole life because of my uncle Fred. My grandparents and parents loved him.
I hope that you and your children find comfort knowing he truly is at peace and free of pain. I’m so saddened by this. He was too young.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Joe in 1981 when I transferred from Vancouver to Toronto with CP Rail. Joe was a very decent, humble and caring man. He treated everyone with respect, and he was a true gentleman. Joe had an impact on my life, and his passing is a loss to everyone who knew him.
Elaine, words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss. Joe was my Uncle Fred’s brother and he will forever be a part of our family. We are holding your family in our hearts and lifting you in prayer. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace.
Dearest Baby Brother, your passing has left a huge void in our Family. We had such hope that you would overcome these health challenges and that we once again would enjoy Family time together. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Joe at CP Rail and he was such a great man. He would always answer his phone with a smile on his face and be delighted to help me in any way that I can. I always looked forward to speaking with Joe as he would brighten up my day. Joe was always full of laughter, even when times were tough in the workplace he could lift anyone’s heart up. He is truly an angel and one of a kind. Rest in peace Joe.

Dear Barb – we met 50 odd years ago at your home on Bathurst Street with Joe and later had a visit with you and your family in Calgary, AB. Joe was the most grounded person I’ve ever met. He had a big heart and gave the best of himself to everyone he met. Condolences to you on the passing of your dear Brother.
Our sincere condolences to the Bielmeier family. I worked with Joe at CP Rail for many years and always found him to be a good friend and coworker. It is so sad that he has passed at such a young age, and I’m certain that Elaine, their children, and all of the Bielmeier family will miss him terribly. I will always remember him as such a good man, friend, and work mate. I pray that you will rest in peace Joe.
I met Joe when I transferred to our Toronto CP Rail office in 1981 and he became an instant friend as he was also a long time suffering Leaf fan! He was very helpful with work questions as well as getting to know the Toronto area.

Joe’s passing is a stark reminder that existence is fragile. Through my 50+ years association with the extended Bielmeier family, I had many opportunities to be in Joe’s presence. I can simply say he was an exceptionally good person. And toward the end, how fortunate for him to have the extraordinary support of the respective families to see him through.

Unfortunately, I was not able to meet Joe again since you all visited us back in 2012 here in Germany. But I remember Joe as a very nice and gentle man who was always good for a joke and he made me laugh regularly during his stay.
Im very saddened about his passing and he will always be in our thougts.

Joe was a wonderful caring human being and friend. Joe took time out
twice to be with me while I had my 2 cataract surgeries and for around
the last 5 years that I worked at CPR we sat next to each other working
our claims. Joe was a more than a great help during those last years as
his kindness and willingness to assist was always present – he made
being there bearable. I know that we all will miss Joe.

I had the honor to learn and work with Joe in these recent years before his retirement from CP. I consider this time to be a highlight in my career with CP. I believe my sister and I last saw Joe and family at his wedding at St. Pat,s.
