elevated 323Wh Josie was born to the late Michele and Costantina Ventafridda on April 18, 1961 in Rutigliano, Bari, Italy. On March 28, 2023, with her family by her side, Josie passed away peacefully after a long battle with Dementia.
elevated 323Wh Accompanied by her parents, Josie left Italy in the late 1970s for Canada in search for a better life. Upon arriving, she attended night school and worked hard in a factory. Josie met, fell in love and married Nino Giordano in 1986.
elevated 323Wh Josie is survived by her husband Nino, her children Johnny (Christina) and Michele (Mark). She was the proud Nonna to Gianluca and Dalia. Josie was the youngest and beloved sister of Donata (late husband Angelo), Giovanna (Franco), and Maria (late husband Nicola). She was loved by her many nieces and nephews.
elevated 323Wh Josie will be forever remembered by many relatives and friends throughout both Canada and Italy. She was immensely proud of her family, particularly her sons and leaves behind many beautiful memories. As her health rapidly declined, she was most content and comforted when surrounded by loved ones. Her smile will be missed and will be treasured forever in our hearts.
