elevated k1Z7a It is with the deepest sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Josephine (Josie) Pantalone nee Puma, on April 5 2022 at the age of 90.
elevated k1Z7a Loving wife of the late William (Willie) Pantalone, devoted mother to Linda Rubino (Enzo) and Maria Pantalone (Paul Ross). Beloved Aunt to Terri (Andy) and Alannah (Brad), Nanny to Karley Rubino and Zachary Rubino, Nanny Pizza to Dee, Max, Marco and Liam. She is survived by her sister and lifelong friend, Eleanor Cavotti.
elevated k1Z7a Josie and Willie were a team, working for the Ontario Jockey Club together for many years. As Hostess in the Dining Room at Woodbine, she greeted her “regulars” with that smile-to know her was to love her.
elevated k1Z7a She fought to stay with us the last three weeks, then finally answered Willie’s call. They will be together again in Eternity.
elevated k1Z7a In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke are appreciated.
Our deepest condolences to the Pantalone family. Josie will be missed by all of us.
As a child growing up across the street from Willie and Josie, my fondness and love for Josie grew to incredible heights, she was so enduring and easy to love.
As one of my moms closest and dearest friends its funny how as you grow older your moms friends become your own too.
As an adult having mini adventures and road trips with Terri and Jose, we took on Myrtle Beach, New York, Niagara and Florida. Jose and I were travel buddies and roomies.(we both loved to snore and no one else could sleep with us) Guess I have to room by myself now Jose, but I will think of you every trip.

She loved you and your family a lot. So many good times, so many memories. Truly the end of an era. I guess it’s up to us to carry the torch now, as the elders are gone. Your Mom and Dad and now Willie and Jodie, together again.
My deepest condolences to all of Josie’s family. Josie was the best neighbour and friend. I will miss her phone calls telling me she’s not a « techy » and could i fix her tv. I’ll miss her stories and how she made me laugh. I did afternoon tea 4x a year with her and two other seniors so I could bake and they were happily taste testers oh the stories they told!! She loved my chocolate chip cookies and I will think of her every time I bake them. She was the spunkiest little lady and if nothing else, she taught me to not to forget to put your lipstick on when you are going out! Love you Josie.

Thank you for being a wonderful neighbour and friend to Josie over the years. She enjoyed your chats, your cooking and baking, but mostly time spent together.
Stunningly beautiful inside and out.
I remember that raven black hair and gorgeous eyebrows.
Always dressed to the nines. My parents had an new years party and Josie came in wearing an amazing black gown, her hair pulled back in an Up-do , Looking like a movie star.

She really was special and so was your Mom. We’ve all been so lucky to have these two amazing ladies as role models in our lives.
My heartfelt condolences to the Pantalone Family. I have many cherished memories of times shared with Willie, Josie and their family. Growing up, I remember being in awe of her and of just how beautiful she was. She made you feel so special. Josie was one Classy Lady. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I rented your mom’s parking spot. Josie was such an elegant, kind and independent lady. We liked to talk about the ” Young and Restless”. I told Josie she looked like a movie star every time she had her hair done and wore sunglasses. Yes, she always smiled and was a pleasure to talk too. God Bless you Josie. Our deepest condolences to the family. We will miss our daily get togethers during the Summer months down in the courtyard where we sat and chatted and laughed – watched our neighbours walk by with their dogs and young mothers with their new babies. Josie was a wonderful friend and we will all miss her very much. Gone but not forgotten.

She looked forward to “Tim Time” in the Courtyard during CoVid. The ladies at Lambton Square meant a lot to her. We will all miss her.
