elevated jyXz0 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of June Weithers at Sunnybrook Hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the age of 66. She was the treasured daughter of the late Abel and the late Sheila Rodrigues (Junor) of Georgetown Guyana. June was a loving and devoted mother to her son Justin.
elevated jyXz0 June will be deeply missed by her son Justin, her siblings Patricia Buchert (Erwin), Jennifer Proulx (Clarence – Deceased), Ronald Rodrigues (Marion), Carlos Rodrigues (Lana), Kathleen Devers (Roger), Elizabeth Chin-A-Loy (Andrew), Joel Rodrigues (Mumtaz), Brian Rodrigues (Gail) and her much-cherished nieces and nephews as well as her extended family of many cousins. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and her work family with whom she kept in regular contact.
elevated jyXz0 June was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and came to Canada at the age of 17. She was a strong-willed woman, steadfast in her beliefs. She was a very caring person and was fiercely generous to anyone who needed her help or assistance.

I had the pleasure of working with June for the last 20+ years. Many good laughs were shared, and she was a strong advocate for those in need. My condolences to the family on her passing.
I met June on my first day of work at RBC some 20 plus years ago. I valued our many working days together and this developed into a great friendship as well. She cared so much about all her family especially Justin. We were so blessed to have June in our lives.

I worked with June for several years, June was an Amazing manager! June shared many stories of her Family most of the stories involved her Son Justin! She referred to Justin as her date when they were going out to the Raptor Games. June would also share photos of her family putting a Face to the names. When asked for advise, Junes response would be “Live your Conscience” June was a very classy Lady, she lit up the room/office when she arrived to work! I will miss our talks but will cherish all the times we had together.

I did not even meet her formally but saw her for the first time on her floor in the office when there was an event going on for Customer Service week more than a month ago.
She reached out to me and told me I should join the contest since I had all the right responses. I was surprised then that she had taken notice of me. I am so shocked now by her passing and hope the family, specially her son, will have the strength to carry on knowing how well loved she was by all who knew her. May she rest in peace in God’s loving arms.

It’s really hard to accept that June has passed. June was my manager. When she moved to another company, she kept in touch with us, her previous officemates. Since then, we become a group of close friends and prior to covid, the group met regularly at least twice a year, summer and Christmas. June was always present. June made everyone feel special. She would always give rides to those who need rides. June was helpful, considerate and lovely. June truly cared for her friends. We are grateful to you for everything. We love you and you will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace June. We are blessed that you were our friend. You left us beautiful memories…..
