elevated tAg23 It is with deepest sympathy that we share Katarina (Ifko) Zakojc passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 6th 2026. Loving wife of Miha Zakojc, beloved mother of Robert (Jenna) and Viktor (Leah) and beloved Mamca to Samantha, Nadia and Michael. Survived by her sisters Ana (Anton), Therezija (Martin) and many loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Stefan, and sisters Marija, Verona and Olga. 

 
Born on April 6, 1943 in Srednja Bistrica, Slovenia, she moved to Canada in 1968 followed shortly by her husband of 57 years, Miha. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved cooking, baking and gardening. She was an active member at Evening Bell Slovenian club, helping prepare for picnics and banquets. 
We would like to thank the staff at Ina Grafton Gage home and Michael Garron hospital who helped care for Katarina during her last few months along with all the friends and family that supported us along the way. 
 
Her strength and unwavering love of her family will be remembered by all who knew her. 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.

    My deepest condolences go out to the Zakojc family. She was the strongest woman I have ever met. A very loving, devoted mother and wife. She will be forever missed.
