elevated lYWff Born on April 23, 1933 in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, Kevin lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and an unwavering commitment to the church. At the age of 22, he left home for the promise of a new life in Canada, where, with invaluable help from his McLoughlin cousins, he found his footing in the Brampton area. After a job installing TV antennas in Georgetown, he found work at a the Loblaws store in Weston — a location that also brought him closer to the Irish club in Toronto, where he would meet and wed a beautiful Galway girl, Margaret Una McNamara. She was an angel, and together they raised four boys in the Pelmo Park–Weston area, where bonds were formed that remain tight to this day.

elevated lYWff As the family grew, Kevin purchased a house in Burlington closer to a school for the deaf that would serve his son, Kevin Jr. The two of them moved there together, while Margaret remained at the family home on Langside Ave. in Pelmo/Weston. It was in Burlington that Kevin transitioned into a career as a school custodian across the Halton area, beloved for his energy, character, and joy of teaching the school kids Irish jigs. As he transitioned schools, send-offs  were spirited affairs, often complete with a piper, Irish dancers and a shamrock cake.

elevated lYWff Though never one for soft words or open displays of affection, he was there when support was needed, most notably for Kevin Jr. and his family. He also took great pride in helping his grandchildren through school, and found quiet joy simply watching their lives unfold. 

elevated lYWff A lifelong follower of the Gaelic Athletic Assoc. (GAA) and his beloved Tyrone footballers, his heart never fully left Ireland — a fact made clear by the several trips home he made throughout his life, always returning to the county that raised him.

elevated lYWff Kevin was predeceased by his father George, mother Anne (née McCluskey), brother Hugh, sister May (née Hughes), wife Margaret (2017), and son Brian (2014). He is survived by his sons Dermot (Debbie), Kevin Jr. (Nicole), and Colin (Kathy), and his cherished grandchildren Matthew, Shannon, Kyle, Shane, Zephrine, Storm and Una.
