elevated M2162 Obituary
On Monday, January 8th, our world got a little dimmer with the sudden passing of Kristian Valmeo, loving husband of Diana, devoted dad to Markus and CJ and the best companion to his dogs Stella and Archie.
elevated M2162 Kristian was the proud son of Virginia and Godofredo, and was adored by his sisters Kim, Ma-Anne and Weng, and his brother Jonathan.
elevated M2162 He was a man of many talents, a true example of a modern day renaissance man. He had the sweetest golf swing, made the best BBQ ribs, enjoyed an amateur career as a trumpeter (shout-out to his alma mater Patrick Fogarty!), and could out-twerk anyone in any room.
elevated M2162 But if you asked Kristian what his biggest accomplishment in life was? He’d likely point to his forever soul-mate Diana. “I got lucky,” he would say as he shrugged his shoulders while flashing that million dollar smile. Building a life and family with D was without a doubt his greatest success in life.
elevated M2162 He loved the Raptors, the colour yellow, dancehall reggae and Excel spreadsheets.
elevated M2162 Kristian’s smile lit up every room he walked into and his positive energy was infectious. He will live on in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know and love him.
elevated M2162 Cheers to you KRS, today and forever.
elevated M2162 As we pay tribute to Kristian’s life, let’s add color to the day to celebrate the vibrant spirit that he shared with us. We encourage everyone to wear a favorite hue that reminds you of Kristian.

Thoughts and prayers to his family. This is heartbreaking.
I have some of the best memories I had in my early twenties with Kristian.
We had the best Golden Tee Party ever, saw Sean Paul live and golfed frequently.
He was so much fun to work with (Swiss Chalet) and his energy was infectious. He will never be forgotten!
RIP Kristian ❤️
Dear Diana, Markus & CJ,

Kristian was wonderful to work with; he would always make us laugh and had the best customer service mindset ever; it was a pleasure to work with you for many years at Oxford. R.I.P Kristian
It wa smy pleasure to interact with Kristian during my 5 years at Oxford. Always positive, a great conversationalist on whatever was on your mind, and helpful in any manner required. Always thoughtful, he congratulated me via LinkedIn on a work anniversary last Nov. Rest in peace, my friend!
Kris is the coach of my son’s basketball team this year, and his infectious passion for the sport, and more importantly, his guidance to the boys on the basketball team, are something that stood out to me.
His patience, positive attitude and attention to details are things that I respect deeply. As a parent, I am simply a casual observer of the practices but it is apparent that Kris is simply an outstanding human being just in his every action and every word.
Your relentless effort to build strong relationships with every kid on the team by spending time talking to them individually shows that you care about each and everyone of them deeply. You took Linus under your wings, you encouraged the team to interact and build a strong team of young men with character, persistence and poise, and you walked that walk every second you were there. You never lost your cool as a coach on the sidelines, not when the kids messed up plays, not when the refs made bad calls. You just kept the team cool and level-headed because you were teaching the kids how to control what they can, to continuously improve individually and as a team. You are a true mentor not just in basketball, but in life to my son.
My heart and prayers go out to Diana, Markus and C.J. I cannot fathom the pain you are going through.
Kris, may you rest in peace.
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to the family. Rest in Peace Kristian! 🙏🌹😔
We are deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Coach Kris. He was such a great inspiration to our basketball team. He brought me from house league level to rep level and beyond. He not only made me grow as a basketball player, but as a person. He treated everyone with love and respect. He was always encouraging and positive and of course ALWAYS had a smile.
Coach Kris, your passion and inspiration will always be remembered. I will always think of you when I play basketball.

Our Condolences on behalf of the Parkfarm Coop community. Kristian was loved, cherished and friend to us all. It was an honour to know you. Rest in peace.
In the quiet echoes of memories past,
A brother’s love forever will last.
Through laughter and tears, hand in hand,
In our hearts, he’ll eternally stand.
His wisdom like a guiding light,
A beacon through the darkest night.
Gone from our sight, but not our hearts,
In every moment, his spirit imparts.
In the tapestry of life, a thread withdrawn,
Yet love endures, a bond unshorn.
Through sorrow’s veil, we find our way,
For in our hearts, he forever stays.
Sending my biggest hugs and so much love to Kristians family.
The teenager that introduced me to R & B, could dance and would dance, all the time. Would sing and laugh like he was born to do it. Kristian is in all my memories of being a teenager.
Him working at Swiss Chalet and me at Harvey’s, going to Barrie to The Queen’s to all ages nights, just to dance and have fun..and he was always happy to drive us in his little red hatchback.
Always happy. Always passionate. Always playing basketball.. and always smiling.
He was kind to everyone. He was inclusive and welcomed everyone into our circle.
Gone far too soon.
You are loved Kristian.
Love,
Tina
I worked with Kristian at Oxford/OMERS. Kristian was always friendly always had time to make small talk and to share a joke or just some casual conversations. Kristian would stop and chat with me on his way to the office and always positive and always smiling. I was sad to hear when he had been let go from his job at Oxford/OMERS. I was shocked when I heard of his untimely passing. He was a great person and I shall miss him. My deepest sympathy to family and friends. May his memory be a blessing.
A bright light gone way too soon! Kristian always had a way to brighten your day! You will be so missed my friend!
To Diana, Marcus, CJ and all of Kristian’s family and friends, my deepest heartfelt condolences.
My deepest condolences to Kristian’s family. Like many others at Oxford, we worked with an amazing individual. He was always smiling, so helpful and would always have time for a conversation. He would be there whenever you needed him. I feel blessed to have spent the time that I did with him. My thoughts and prayers are with Diana, Markus and CJ. I wish I had seen this before this evening as I would like to have paid my respects to him and the family. Rest in peace Kristian.
My deepest sympathy to Kristian’s wife Diana, children and extended family. I had the pleasure of working with Kristian at Oxford for many years, he was a great conversationalist and always one for a good laugh.
Kristian will be sorely missed.
I haven’t stopped thinking of you, Diana, and the kids since I heard. Kristian is one of my favourite coworkers, ever, and he is one of my favourite memories of Oxford. He made me laugh. A lot. Man, could he get excited about the Raptors!! What a delight of a person he was and I am sad for me, for you, for the kids. He talked about his family a lot. His love for you and Markus and CJ was evident whenever he mentioned you. He was a bright light for me, and I know he was to his other colleagues, too. We were blessed to have him even for a short time.
Dad, I miss you so much. Reading everyone’s notes about you makes me smile, but deep down I just want to stay in my room and cry. I love you dad. R.I.P.
