elevated Q1gRF With great sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Lena (Giovannina Carolina) Campitelli (nee Ferrari), in her 88th year, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

elevated Q1gRF Predeceased by her husband, John, Lena leaves her two daughters, Emily (Alan Paterson) and Patsy (Robert Ricciuti) who will all miss her powerful presence in their lives.

elevated Q1gRF She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Carolina (Omair Hussain), Johnny (Arlene), Christina (Kalev Hess) and her great-granddaughter, Carmen Dale.

elevated Q1gRF She will also be missed by her loving nephew, Frank Ferrari.

elevated Q1gRF Sister to the late Michael Ferrari (Paolina), Joe Ferrari (Loretta), the late Mary Latini (Lindo), Basil Ferrari (Rosina), the late Louisa Spagnola (John), Vittoria Ferrari (Rosetta), Tony Ferrari, Italo Ferrari (Erminia), Joanna Maio (Fernando).

elevated Q1gRF Sister-in-law to the late Fred Campitelli (Margaret), the late Mary Ardellini (Claudio), Bruno Campitelli (Diane), Vira Persichilli (George).

elevated Q1gRF Lena expressed her love through her passion for cooking.  Famous for her Christmas Soup and her Roast Beef, we will never forget the many family dinners we all enjoyed together.  She was never happier than when all her family were together around the table.

elevated Q1gRF She was devoted to her family, including her extended family, and loved to impart her wisdom and her life lessons on anyone who would listen.  She was generous with her care and concern and always lent a helping hand to those who needed her.

elevated Q1gRF Her world was complete when her great granddaughter was born and during her last days, video chats with Carmen were the highlight of her day.

elevated Q1gRF Her many friends will remember her for her kindness, her hospitality, her generosity, and her devotion.

elevated Q1gRF And in a nod to her vices, a day at the casino was like a ray of sunshine, unless of course, she didn’t win!  Second only to her love of her racehorses, she loved sneaking off with her partner in crime, Flora, to play just for a couple of hours…….

elevated Q1gRF She had a special place in her heart for her nieces, Lori and Rita, who never let a week go by without checking in on her.  Her love for you was boundless.

elevated Q1gRF Thanks to her caregivers, Flora and Sita, for their devotion and comfort during her many difficult days.

elevated Q1gRF Donations to the Charity of your choice.  Flowers are welcomed.
