elevated p0coy It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Leonard on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the age of 88, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Jean Ursini. Cherished father of Michael and Lisa (Sandy Fraser). Devoted and proudest “papa” to Logan. Dearest brother of John Ursini, the late Edith Boag, the late Vic Chiovitti, the late Yola Fitzsimmons, the late Lorraine Circelli and the late Maurice Ursini. Leonard will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humber River Hospital or the Salvation Army, In memory of Leonard. Following the interment the family invite everyone to Tremonti Ristorante (Steeles Ave. and Weston Rd.) It was Leonard’s favourite restaurant.

Jean, Lisa and to your whole family…. and up in heaven – Hi Len!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. ‘that’ generation will be forever missed and their wisdom or a portion of it, likely forever lost. Everything was on a handshake, everything was with trust, in good faith and for the benefit of many not just for the benefit of one’s own self. Len together with so many, built a generation that became successful, created opportunities for others, created jobs and made sure we knew that we could only be accountable to ourselves and not blame others. Albeit he and I were 30 years apart… he knew my father and all his developer friends. I had the PRIVILEGE of dealing with him on his insurance matters and for probably a decade we had never met in person. We had a chuckle and laugh all the time by phone but eventually, always got down to business. He’d share so many stories of the ‘old’ days and I couldn’t get enough of it. Eventually one day I was at a convenient store standing behind some man who was joking around with the cashier… and I ‘knew’ that voice!!. I said ‘are you Len ursini ??… he knew my voice too and we chuckled that it took us that long to meet in person. What a gentleman, professional and I’m sure a great family man! We shall all miss his voice, his candor and his personality and character. I’m sure your generations forward will play on what he provided and we’ll all be better for it! I am very sorry for your loss. Len and I have known eachother since we were kids and had many memorable times together. Unfortunately, I cannot attend the funeral services as I am having health problems.
