elevated id7oi Li Pook Ho (Joseph) was a unique child, born in Moyan, China. He moved to Mauritius at the age of 14 with his uncle. In 1941 he married Marguerite (Choon Lan) Lim Fon Kee. After most of his children had moved abroad in 1969 and in the 70’s, Joseph decided to immigrate to Toronto, Canada in 1979 along with his wife and 3 younger children for a better life.

elevated id7oi Joseph was a caring and good husband and a very dedicated father. He was a very good person who never complained and was well liked by all his relatives and friends. He was very smart, skillful, creative and a hard worker. He was very religious, outgoing and adventurous. His thirst of knowledge never ended. He spent many hours in the library, self-taught English and was an avid reader. He always carried his small dictionary along with him wherever he went.  He was also a well-organized person, keeping notes of every event and instructions.
