elevated u0bTG Obituary

elevated u0bTG Surrounded by her family Lidia Alessio Cirillo passed away on Monday April 4, 2022.  She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Carmela (Joe), Patrizia (John) and Giovanni (Elizabeth).  Her legacy will live on through her adored granddaughters Ariana & Emily.  She was a caring sister to Mary (the late Angelo), and a cherished aunt to RoseAnn (Sam), Mike (Carmela) and Sandra (Frank).

elevated u0bTG Lidia was born on July 30, 1948 in Cosenza, Italy. Lidia along with her parents and sister immigrated to Chicago, IL when she was 3 years old.  Lidia loved to share stories of growing up in Chicago with her Zia & Zio and 3 cousins. When she was 13 years old, Lidia and her family moved to Toronto to start a new chapter.  Lidia earned her teaching degree with certificates in French and Special Education. Her open and encouraging approach to teaching endeared her to her many students.

elevated u0bTG She was the heart of our family and we will carry on the lessons and traditions she taught us.  She instilled in us the value of hard work, respect, loyalty, kindness and putting your best foot forward. She was a devoted and selfless mother and grandmother, always ready to lend a listening ear and an encouraging word.

elevated u0bTG We are comforted to know that Lidia has been called home to God, to be with her loved ones, and to shine upon those she left behind. Her kind and gentle heart will never be forgotten.

elevated u0bTG If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada and and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
