It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Lidia Di Rezze-Malfara on November 22, 2024, at Southlake Hospital at the age of 59, surrounded by family and friends.
elevated PQa1n Beloved wife of 21 years to Nick, who affectionately referred to her as his ‘Joia’. Loving daughter of Americo and Luisa. She was their ‘Lilla’, ‘Lidiuccia’. Cherished sister of Giovanni (Andrea), Alberico (Tania), Carlo (Yoko) and Sandra. A special sister-in-law to Raffaela, Lee (Gerry), Lina (Luciano), Vicky (Frank) and Rocco (Anne-Marie, deceased). A dear Zia to Giancarlo, Daniela, Paolo, Michael, Claudia, Michio, Tomio, Christina (Kevin), David, Jonathan (Jovily), Stephen, Elisa, Sarah, Laura, Julia and Daniel. Lidia will be reunited in heaven with her grandparents Giovanni & Antonia Di Rezze, Alberico & Rosalina Palumbo, and her parents-in-law Vito & Antonietta Malfara.
elevated PQa1n She will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her entire family, including her aunts, uncles, many cousins, and friends.

She was good people and a gentle soul. She was my sister, Shirley, good friend and I am so glad I got to meet and know Lidia through their close friendship. You will be missed Lidia. I’m so sad to hear this news. Lidia was one of my first friends when we moved to Richmond Hill. Her family welcomed my mom and dad and sister with a lovely dinner. My memories are a of happy kind person with a great laugh. May she rest in peace- her family’s in my prayers .🙏

Di Rezze-Malfara Family: As we all age we often reflect on our past. When I do, I remember the amazing Di Rezze Family and what they meant to our little Richmond Hill/St. Joseph, Our Lady Queen of the World communities.
Lidia was that ray of sunshine in her family. From our dancing days (where her brother was a DJ) to playing tag football, to the long walks to get to one another’s homes, Paliser Cres to Briggs, to sitting in the Di Rezze kitchen, to times just hanging out. These moments created the jewels of our childhood.
Lidia brought this forward in to her adult years. Her connection with her family and friends are blessings and inspirations. Lidia will be greatly missed, but her smile, sense of humour and laughter will remain forever. A beautiful woman who will always be remembered and treasured. Thank you Lidia.

I’m a little late this year. Happy Birthday Zia. I miss you so much. First Wives Club came on the other day and I can still remember the moments throughout the film where you laughed. I’ll always remember spending time with you at Nonna’s house, watching daytime television.. soaps.. lol. I know you’re up there somewhere doing nails for some old lady lol. Have a wonderful birthday.
