elevated KXuHA Obituary
elevated KXuHA It comes with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lina Micallef (PACE) on April 24, 2021 at 80 years of age. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband and children. As Father Jim said, “The biggest gift we gave Mom was to surround her with love as she passed”.
elevated KXuHA She was a loving and devoted wife to Carmel (Karmenu) for 53 years, and devoted Mom to her children Sandra (Tony) and Marlene (Ahmed). A cherished grandmother to Anthony, Matthew, Maya, Ciara and Nathan. Survived by her siblings: Doris (Eddie), Charlie (Gladys), Freddie, Mary (Lewis), Vince (Mary), Dominic (Helen), Rita (Charlie), and predeceased by Victor (Lourdes), Beatrice (Charlie), Mildred (John), and baby Mary. She was a respected aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
elevated KXuHA Mom was a pioneer of her times, an independent, working woman (Gray Tools – Brampton) while devoted to her family. Mom took care of everyone going over and above. Even as we grew more independent and became adults and parents of our own children, she was always there. She loved to dance, play bingo and cards and stay up late storytelling and reminiscing with her beloved family about her family owned business in Malta; Queens Cafe.
elevated KXuHA Mom boasted that she invented the first window you could order a quick coffee and pack of cigarettes from the sidewalk, decades before Tim Hortons. She had many fond memories of her experiences and times spent with her siblings growing up. She cherished family and will be greatly missed.
elevated KXuHA Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral will be aired virtually on Thursday April 29th 11am. Please contact the family for the funeral service recording.
