elevated lyuec Obituary
After a long battle with cancer, it is with a heavy heart to announce that our beloved Linda, mother to everyone she has ever met, passed away at home on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8, 2022. A loving wife of over 45 years to Allen, a devoted mother to Jennifer, Ryan and Zachary, sister of Lisa, Laurie, Ron and Bob, daughter of the late Mary Mahler and Gotlob Mahler. A compassionate angel who only knew how to love, touching many lives in so many ways. You will forever be missed until we meet again. Those who face that which is actually before them, unburdened by the past, undistracted by the future, these are they who live… these are those who have found the secret of contentment.
elevated lyuec Special thank you to Dr. Razak and his team at Mount Sinai and Princess Margaret Hospital for their support through her journey; Polina, Jennifer, Emmy and Jan Lynn, who provided months of ongoing 24/7 care; a massive thank you to her sister Lisa Schiavone who provided nursing care 24/7 with her expertise and keeping all family up-to-date. Under your care Lord Jesus Christ, we send mom to you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Linda…we had lost touch over the years and I am very saddened by this news. My heart goes out to her whole family. My deepest condolences and thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We unfortunately didn’t know Linda well, but have come to know the kind and caring person she was through the many wonderful accounts of her through her loving sister Lisa. While we know that she will be greatly missed by her family and friends, it is our hope that this loss will be far outweighed by many cherished and happy memories.

We are so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. She was our dear neighbour for 19 years. Our sincerest condolences and our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
I have lost a treasure, such a sister, such a friend. The glider of every pleasure, the mother of every sorrow, the one to step forward and lead us all on. A true mentor in life.
Thank you for all you did. Much of who I am today is due to you. Our tight bond shall never part. You will live on in me each and every day till we have the chance to meet again.
I am saddened to hear of Linda’s passing she was truly a great friend when we were young. Through the years although we were miles apart we had a connection she was still one of my dearest friends. Condolences to Allan, Jennifer, Ryan , Zachary, Bobby, Lisa, Lori, Ron and families may she RIP
I am so saddened by the loss of my sister. She was a wonderful person with a big heart. Kind caring and generous is how I would describe her. She was always available to give great advice. When she asked how I was doing she would truly listen and she would truly care. She was a dedicated daughter, an amazing mother and wife and a wonderful sister. She held wonderful get together’s for the family and friends which we always enjoyed and looked so forward to. Her children were the apple of her eye and and she enjoyed each and everyone of them immensely. She loved her husband and was so grateful for his caring and generosity. I will miss our many discussions on skin care, reminiscing about Nova Scotia and New Hampshire and all the topics that we had so much in common about. She was a very brave woman fighting a battle that she knew she was going to lose but there was no way she was going to sit there and do nothing at all just in case there was that slight chance that things would work out in her favor. I will miss spending time with her. we prayed so hard for her to get better Because she had so much life left and so much more love to give everyone. One of the things she told me in a beautiful conversation with her in March was how much she loved flowers and squirrels and birds. So please grow the flowers in her honour every spring when you plant, Feed the beautiful birds and listen to their Song, and watch the squirrels run up and down the trees and play in the branches and think of her. That is what she loved the most about spring and summer. She also told me that she wants to feed her family and her friends so have many get together‘s with your family and friends and think of her because that’s what she wanted to continue to do for you.
Always in my heart, your little sister Laurie.
I have lost my little sister and best friend, we all knew this day would come but now that it is here it feels surreal, when I say goodbye to you tomorrow it is only in body, your spirit will live on and your legacy is your parting gift .
GOD BLESS SISTER ANGEL
Rest in Peace, Linda.
I miss you.
OT NO EBA!

A true friend is never gone – Their spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved them.
May all of the family find peace and comfort through the days ahead.
With love and many Blessings,

Our heatfelt condolences to the family. Linda was the quintessential example of a sincere human being. She embraced, accepted and loved everyone she encountered. It was an honor to have met her and be in her company.
She was truly an angel on earth whose labour has ended. She would certainly be missed by her Special Olympics family. Please take comfort that her suffering has elevated her soul to the highest heaven. Love you Jennifer!
Linda was a wonderful woman, neighbour and friend to our family. She had such a warm presence and caring heart. We’ll miss her thoughtfulness, her joyful laugh, and the best Christmas baskets full of goodies. She will stay in our hearts forever.
May God rest her soul in eternal peace and may her family receive strength and courage during this difficult time.

I have read this quote from the beautiful message above over and over. “Those who face that which is actually before them, unburdened by the past, undistracted by the future, these are they who live… these are those who have found the secret of contentment.” There is so much beauty in its simplicity and truth.
I have had a business relationship with the Fleishmans for many years. Over that time, I have found you to be a terrific family with loyalty, integrity and warmth. I am very sorry for your grief and loss. Your wonderful Linda, and indeed your entire family, will be in my prayers tonight.
Heartfelt condolences and prayers to family🙏
