As soon as I started having Larry do my hair at Avantgarde many years ago I knew he was a fun creative warm hearted person and an excellent hairdresser. I followed him from salon to salon and really enjoyed the ambience and continued high quality at Cucci’s . Rosina learned from her Dad and she became my hairdresser in later years. Going to Cucci’s was a lot of fun and the cuts were great. My husband Carmen also has fond memories of Larry. He was so full of life with a good sense of humour and an enthusiasm for new challenges. He was such an important part of life in Bolton.
Sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed he always had time to sit and talk to the new education in the Bolton area. As this was the type of person he was. ❤️
My condolences to all the Polsinelli family. Larry was always a bright light of enthusiasm in the Bolton community. The last couple of years have been a struggle for him and the family have been tremendously supportive and loving. He will truly be missed.
Sincerely

I am saddened to hear about the loss of Larry from our world. He was a neighbour at work and a teammate in hockey and I know no other person who had a greater enthusiasm for the possibilities life had to offer.
So hard to believe you’re gone. Full of life and ambition and always a big heart. Larry gave me a chance and believed in me years ago when no one else would when I started my business in Avantgarde Hair.
Heartfelt condolences to his family. Your father will truly be missed in the community but not forgotten 🙏❤️
I am very sad to hear about the loss of Larry. He was a great man. I loved his sense of humour. We shared a tent together up Mount Kilimanjaro. Larry is up there in haven now.
We also did an adventure trip together to South America. Larry was always happy & made other smile. I will miss him.
Rosina,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. Sending you and your family my deepest condolences.
Dear Polsinelli family:
We are so saddened and we share your loss of your dear dad. Since meeting Larry and Kelly at Sunnybrook Hospital where Jodi and Angelo met, we have felt a special bond with the family. Larry, you will be deeply missed.
Rosina @Angelica
And all of the Polsinelli family ,we extend our heartfelt condolences.
Larry was a neighbour at work back in the 70s when I opened my butcher shop in downtown Bolton, Vicky’s hairdresser for years .
And in later years became my regular golf partner, the best memories were our two trips to Scotland, the most recent in 2015 , , we played all the famous courses in Scotland, including the old course at St Andrew’s
Larry could not get over the beautiful country side in Scotland.
We played at Royal Troon, where theOpen has been played many times, and we were with a good freind of mine who had been a pro at Glen Eagles in Scotland, and we were at the 8 th hole , called “the coffin “a par three , 123 yards from our tee box , and the pro says “
the last time , Tiger Woods played here “he had a seven “
It was a real windy day , and Larry steps up hits the ball , and lands it on the green, and it stays (as opposed to running of the green on either side into the bunker) affectionately named the coffin because of the deep, and coffin shape of the bunker, and I could see either one of us taking a 7 or more had the ball ended up in the coffin, but we didn’t, and we both ended up parring the hole .
I think that was one Larry’s proudest moments in golf .
Rest In Peace my dear freind, I know you are in a better place now .

Very distressed to hear about LARRY’s passing.
He always talked about his golfing ; how he practiced to improve and the various courses he play here and in other countries.
I really enjoyed talking to him and listening to his stories.
He gave the best cuts I ever had or will ever have.
I will miss his smile and humour.
God bless and take care of him.
To Rose and Angelica and all members of the Polsinelli family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Larry in 1973 in Bolton. I needed a hair cut and someone told me about this amazing hair salon. Larry welcomed me into the salon and knew instantly that I was really not sure about cutting my waist length hair that I was so proud of. But I had to have a cut due to having a 6 month old baby who continually grabbed my hair and would wind it around his tiny fists. Larry was so great to me that day and for the next 30 years he did my hair. I used to look so forward to getting my hair cut by him. He always warmly greeted everyone as they came in and I will never forget his “Ciao Bella”. Over the years Larry and I shared our achievements, laughter, births of our children, happiness, sadness. And through it all I always felt safe talking to Larry. He was a huge part of my life and I missed him so much when he left the practice. He truly was a beautiful person and I will always have such found memories of our time together. I will always carry my memories of Larry in my heart. My thoughts are with you but I know you will have memories of Larry that will give you comfort.
My deepest condolences to you Jay and your family
From our family to yours our deepest condolences and heartfelt thoughts at this difficult time.
Cary and Heather Egan
To Rose, Angelica and family, our deepest and heartfelt condolences with the passing of your Dad. May he Rest in Peace.
Larry was a wonderful human being! His creativity, zest for life and adventure were infectious. When he spoke of his family, he could not be more proud which reflected in his beautiful smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, wishing you much strength, peace and comfort during this very difficult time.
It’s not hard to describe what Larry was to me and Jay when growing up – he was a great guy and character for sure but he gave me a fresh and bold Italian perspective from the traditional one when growing up.
He became the only person who I would allow to cut my mop of a hairdo and we shared a lot of great stories while I was sitting in his chair for over 25 years. Larry was the best at what he did.
Salute to him and may he rest in peace.
Take care Polsinelli family from Marco and Augusto Di Bernardo and Family.
Larry was a true friend. He always knew how to put a smile on your face even if you were troubled.
We had many laughs together over the years and will truly miss this dynamic person.
So sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to the Polsinelli family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Larry was an amazing person I feel privileged and so lucky that I got to know him.
Sincere condolences to the Polsinelli family. Larry carried a bright soul and spirit about him. Always positive and had a great outlook on life. He will be missed in the Bolton community.
My sincere condolences to all of Larry’s family and friends who he loved big. He always had a smile and such passion for life. I hope in time his wonderful memories will warm your heart and be your treasures forever🙏❤️ Sincerely Barbara and Callum
I’ve missed you since it began.. I miss you now and always my Dear Friend! What happy memories I have of us and our very special friendship! Will never forget our first meeting! Brought my 3 girls in to Avantgarde for cuts and stood by you as you cut someone’s hair. I was in awe and you said “You don’t have to go to the big city for this!” Our friendship began and our kids played together! I followed you around Bolton no matter where I was living! Your laughter, positive attitude, lending ear and Ciao Bella will live in my memories! Thinking of all of you! He was so proud! 🤗
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I started going to Larry back in 1974 when he fixed a particularly ghastly haircut and made me look fabulous. We were both in our early 20s and both starting our careers…he in hairdressing and I in teaching. I saw him every 6 weeks after that for the next 30 years no matter where I moved or where he was working…even when I got my hair done in his basement using a laundry tub and the babies playing under our feet. I never knew what idea he might come up with….hey, I just did a show in Hawaii or saw this new style from Europe, want to try it? I always said yes and it always looked like a million dollars. Sometimes the style made me look so different that my students didn’t recognize me for a few minutes! I loved the conversations just as much as the hair styles. When my mum came down with ALS, he knew what we were going through because of his mum’s own journey with the disease. I was so grateful when he told me to bring my mum in for a haircut when she started getting major symptoms including not being able to speak. He was so kind and funny with her and most important,he treated her as though this was a normal visit. My mum had such a great time that day! I now live on Vancouver Island and every time I look at my messy hair, I think of Larry and how much I loved seeing him! My deepest condolences to your family and how I wish I could have one last hug from him!
I am very sad to hear so late now of Larry’s passing and I am sending our condolences to all his family, and particularly all his children and nieces and nephews. He was always so enthusiastic about life and everything. I met him 37 years ago at Avant Guard and he has done my hair all these years! My daughter told me a story that when she took a bus to Toronto early morning, he was going to his shop and he asked her whether she had my permission and she said no. He gave her his phone number and said for her to call him if she got in trouble!! That’s the kind of caring man he was! My heart is so sad and I will never forget you! Rest In Peace Larry!
A wonderful man taken way too soon. Your loss will leave a void in so many hearts as you were truly loved and respected by all who were fortunate enough to have known you. I’ve known you for 47-years and your smile and warmth never wavered. You were a legend in the cutting art of hair design, the best of the best and I miss you beyond words my friend. Xo
