elevated Zwmuk Lucena Mercado De Matta, to whom everyone that knows her called her Nanay or Nani, in her 88th year, peacefully passed away on June 19, 2025.
elevated Zwmuk Born on May 30, 1937, in San Antonio Binan Laguna, Philippines, Lucena or Lucy moved to Canada in 1973 together with her 3 daughters, Jocelyn, Maura and Anabell, to join her husband, Mario.
elevated Zwmuk Lucy was the embodiment of wisdom, love, and strength, shaping the foundation of her family’s legacy. She was the proud mother of three children, grandmother of 7, and great-grandmother of 8. A loving wife to the late Mario Ligaya De Matta for 46 years.
elevated Zwmuk Lucy’s life was devoted to nurturing her family with unconditional love, support, and guidance through every challenge and triumph.
elevated Zwmuk Lucy’s legacy of love, service, and unshakable faith will be eternally cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children Jocelyn (Eddie), Maura (Allan) and Anabell (Arthur), as well as her grandchildren: Jessica, Jeffrey, Calvin, Daniel, Amanda, Alexis and Cody; great-grandchildren: Mario, Heaven, Noah, Grayson, Mila, Chase, Jose and Atticus, nieces, nephews and family friends.
Mom, We love you and will miss you a lot.
Thank you for your guidance, generosity , kindness and unconditional love.
We will always cherish the beautiful memories we have together.
