elevated XvwIn Peacefully passed away on September 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88. Beloved wife of 62 years to Rino. Caring and devoted mother to Peter (Francine), Debra (Michael) and Sandra (Alan). Proud Nonna to Vanessa (Roberto), Stephen, Andrew and Danielle. Luciana will be sadly missed by many family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Langstaff Square Care Community for their care and compassion. If desired, donations to the Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.

Zia Luciana was such a beautiful woman. She adored her family and was proud of all of you.
Zia, heaven had been waiting for you however you were not ready to go. It is not the end, nor is it good-bye. We will see each other again. You were very much loved and we will grieve you with love in our hearts.
I am grateful and blessed to have shared many special occasions, celebrations and even times of sorrow and grief with you. I cherished and will forever cherish the bond that I had with you. You helped shape the woman I am today. I am so happy that I was able to tell you all of these things before you had to leave us. And even though you will not be here with us physically, you will always be such an integral part of our lives. You had such grace and style and you were an excellent cook and a gracious hostess. You were always so well put together. I remember the sleep overs at your house and you entertaining and everything was just so right. You never said anything hurtful or negative about anyone. You gave me sound advice, you were a listening ear, you always found the right words to say. After all, you were like a mother to me. I love you! God Bless! Until I/we see you again, watch over and protect us.

So sorry to hear your mother has passed. Your words explain how I felt for my mother as well and I feel your pain right now. We just joined a club we never wanted to be a member of. It is so hard. But I know our mother is still watching over us and I’m sure you will experience the same thing because love never dies. You will find a way to honour her and keep her memory alive in your life. Dear Luciana – you are now with God and resting peacefully. You were an intelligent woman of grace and beauty yet incredibly humble of all your wonderful attributes. You loved to entertain and your home was your castle where you welcomed all and treated everyone with respect. You will be greatly missed as you carved such an important presence in our lives. The impact you made in my mother’s life was in many many ways life shaping for her. Thank you for the love you showed her and for being a sister to her and a second mother to me. I feel very blessed to have known Luciana over the years to have seen her at Danielle’s birthdays and had many chats with her. Deb and I have always spoken of our mothers over the years and I know what this loss is to Deb and the family.
I pray for her eternal peace and rest and know that she is in God’s hands and my mother and father will be there to meet her.
May God give you all the strength and his love to help you through this difficult time.
