elevated xupe7 Greatly loved, deeply missed. It is with great sorrow and extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Luciana Punzal Sayuno on Friday, June 23, 2023.
elevated xupe7 She was a devoted mother to Suzanne Sayuno Legaspi, ‘Mommy’ to Melissa (Marggay) Legaspi and ‘Mommy Lola’ to her beloved great-grandson Logan Anthony Kresge. Her legacy will live on through Logan, who she deeply adored and doted on, as he was a constant source of laughter, joy and light especially in her last days.
elevated xupe7 Luciana was born in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija, Philippines on January 7, 1925, and was the daughter of Nicolas Punzal and Maria Gaspar Punzal, and an older sister to Juliana Punzal Anico (deceased). It is our solace that Luciana now joins her beloved husband Antonio (Tony) Sayuno in Heaven, who she missed very dearly every single day.
elevated xupe7 Luciana was the most elegant lady around, always dressed to the nines and smelling sweetly of perfume. Her quick wit and humor delighted her friends and family, and many will remember her surprising fondness for professional baseball (first the Atlanta Braves then the Toronto Blue Jays).
elevated xupe7 We will miss her presence, but as we celebrate her life, we look forward to the day we meet again.
elevated xupe7 Funeral services will be held at Catholic Cremation Services Funeral Home at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga) on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM (service starting at 5:00 PM).

We will miss you so much Ninang Lucy. You and Mom were close friends. I was blessed with you in my life. May our Lord grant you eternal peace with Tito Tony. And now you and Mom can make kwento again in heaven.
So sorry to hear of Auntie Lucing’s passing. We used to be neighbors in the Phil and she’s the favorite cousin of my mom and my godmother as well. Thanks for your life as you’ve been a blessing.
