Obituary
elevated ICxuB It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luigi Cava, on November 4th, 2021, at the age of 60, surrounded by his loving family at Sunnybrook Hospital. He will always be held dear in the hearts of his beloved wife of 39 years, Teresa and his loving daughters, Angela (Filip) and Stefanie (Renato). He was a proud Nonno to his grandson, Mateo. Luigi will be cherished and forever missed by his father, Emilio and his brothers, Roberto (Michelle), Maurizio (Carolyn) and Deni (Lara). He will always be fondly remembered by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, great-nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many friends. Luigi is now reunited with his mother, Ida Dodaro, in heaven.
elevated ICxuB Luigi has always had a passion for driving, spending over 30 years of his life being a long haul transport truck driver. Not only did he enjoy driving for work, but he also enjoyed taking many long road trips with his family. Luigi took great pride in maintaining his lawn and his vegetable garden during the summer months. In his down time, he remained true to his love for watching sports, especially cheering on the Montreal Canadiens and the Miami Dolphins. Luigi also enjoyed cooking meals for his family and was always there to support his daughters’ various hobbies and interests.
elevated ICxuB Luigi was a warm, caring and thoughtful person, who was devoted to his family. He will be remembered by his beautiful smile and witty remarks. Luigi touched our lives with his generosity, wisdom and kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

My big brother words cannot describe what a loss we are all going through. You were the toughest guy I knew, “quit” was never in your vocabulary. You fought and fought right till the very end, always a positive outlook despite of all the pain you were going through. I will do my best to help the girls out with whatever they may need. As painful as it is to say goodbye,knowing that you are not suffering in pain anymore and are now with MOM gives us some comfort. Give her a hug for me please.Until we meet again Louie to talk about trucks and hockey, I love you and will miss you dearly Big Brother!! KEEP TRUCKN’ LOUIE!!🤗❤🚛

Its so hard to find the words….. From the first day I met you and your brothers, you welcomed me with open arms. You always made me feel as if we had known each other for much longer then we did. I’m going to miss our conversations about your trucking, food and cooking. We would tease other about our favorite hockey teams. Yours being the Montreal Canadiens and mine the Toronto Maple Leafs. You were such a strong man, such a fighter. You did everything you had to so that you could walk Stefanie down the isle and dance with her at her wedding. I am in awe of your strength. I’m hugging you and your Mom with the tightest of hugs as I know she is with you now~ until we are all together again xo

Louie, you were a husband, father, son, brother, zio, nonno and friend. We have heard countless stories on the amazing person you were and we knew this from the times we had the pleasure of seeing you.
You never stopped smiling and cracking jokes and you had the will to never give up .
We look up to you so much and are inspired by your strength and determination.
You were an inspiration to so many and so glad you got to see Stefanie get married on her special day and to be with all your loved ones.
