elevated pnzTA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Luigi Infanti, on September 17, 2026.
elevated pnzTA Luigi was born in Cinto Caomaggiore, Italy, on June 22, 1934. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ida, and is survived by his children, Steven (Angela) and Vilma (Jeff), and his grandchildren, Andrew and Nicholas.
elevated pnzTA Known by his family and friends as “Gigi the Farmer,” he was a hardworking and devoted man who dedicated his life to his family. He found his greatest joy in the people he loved. Gigi was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and determination. He had a wonderful sense of humour and could bring laughter and warmth to those around him.
elevated pnzTA Gigi loved his gardens. He would spend hours tending to them and took great pride in sharing the bounty of his labour with family and friends.
elevated pnzTA He was especially proud of his children, Steven and Vilma, and adored his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy and happiness. His family was truly the centre of his world.
elevated pnzTA Gigi shared a deep and lasting love with his wife and lifelong partner, Ida. Her passing left an emptiness in his heart, and he was never quite the same without her by his side. Their love remained with him throughout the rest of his life, as did the cherished memories of the many years they shared together.
elevated pnzTA Gigi leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by his family and by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
elevated pnzTA In lieu of flowers, donations to the William Osler Health Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society may be made in memory of Gigi.

We remember the family gatherings at the farm where laughter billowed at the table. We remember coming empty handed but somehow leaving with a trunk full of produce.
Gigi the farmer will always live in your hearts and bring smiles to our day.
As Zio joins your mother and all those gone before. They are calling:
‘Gigi…cafe e pront!’
Sorry to hear of the passing of Gigi… your cousins in San Martino let my daughter know, who phoned here to Parkhill, which is a long way from Woodbridge when you have livestock and young children. Hence we did visit Gigi and Ida a few times as well as his sister along Lake Erie with a friend from London. Always enjoyed his abundant , lush garden…enough for the whole town…but his pride. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We raise our salami sandwich and glass of wine to Zio. He has joined Zia, what a party it must be up there with laughter and good time! Gigi Here! Zio Gigi was the best Godfather anyone could have. So many memories can be listed but there is not enough room. Zio Gigi will always be remembered in our hearts. The memories will never be forgotten.
Steven, Vilma & families – our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father/grandfather. We will always have fond memories of your father on the farm, his garden (the crazy next door goats who loved his tomatoes), dancing with your mother, singing, story telling and the wonderful sausages he made (and shared). There was never a dull moment with your dad. He was full of life. I certainly will miss those hugs & the blessing after the salad. What fond memories we have that will be cherished forever. We will miss him.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of your dad and grandfather. The last few times mom and Zio were together and we laughed so much about the stories they told of their youth that is one of the many things I will always remember. Rest in peace Zio Gigi
