elevated xxsGL It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing away of Luisa Silva Catarino on October 26, 2021 at the age 80.
elevated xxsGL Beloved wife of 54 years to Joe. Caring and devoted mother to Peter (Lisa) and Susy (Shane) and her fur baby Lulu. Proud Avo to Cierra and Kiana. Luisa will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of many family and friends both here, Portugal and France.
elevated xxsGL In Memory of Luisa, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
elevated xxsGL The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday October 31, 2021. A Private Mass of Christian burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Monday November 1, 2021. The final rite of committal and interment will take place privately at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill). elevated xxsGL Due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions, friends may have to wait to pay their respects during the visitation period, we are inviting family and friends to a walk-through visitation only to pay their respects, offer condolences and then kindly exit the building to allow for others to enter.
elevated xxsGL Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no food and beverages after the Funeral Service, we will have a Celebration of Life at a later date to be announced.
Family and friends are invited to view the Funeral Mass on Monday November 1, 2021 at 10:30 am.

I am so very sorry to hear of Luisa’s passing. My heartfelt condolences for your loss. I have the fondest memories of her from all the times our families spent together.
