It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Magda Ancic on Monday, May 4, 2020 in her 72nd year. Born in Trieste, Italy, she moved with her family at a young age to start a new life in Brooklyn, New York. After years in language studies, she ended up meeting the man of her dreams, who never left her side for over 50 years! Leaving her family behind, she moved and settled in Toronto to start her own family. Magda was an amazing woman inside and out and always put those around her first before even considering doing something for herself. Her entire life was focused on the well-being of her friends and family. Loving wife to Silvio, adoring mother to Dave and Steven, and an amazing “Grandma” to Tristan and Gabriel. Her kindness, warm smile, gentle heart, along with her many stories, great baking and life’s lessons, will forever keep her spirit alive within all of us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Camp Dorset, in memory of Magda Ancic. Lions Camp Dorset is a unique resort that offers vacation opportunities for dialysis patients and their families who otherwise would not be able to get away. Magda and Silvio would often spend a week each summer at Lions Camp Dorset enjoying the company of fellow patients as well as the outdoors.
