elevated U1O3x Obituary

elevated U1O3x Passed Maggie Sousa, also formally known as Lady Paula Margarida, passed peacefully in Oshawa, Ontario on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the age of 46 after her second battle with breast cancer.  Beloved wife of Steven Sousa.  To paraphrase a famous comedienne, they were each other’s special person that they wanted to annoy for the rest of their lives.  She leaves the best parts of herself in her children Benjamin, Alexander and Olivia.  Through them, her bravery, intelligence, wit and often quirky and mischievous sense of humour will live on.

elevated U1O3x Maggie was the youngest daughter of Alzira and the late Urbano Diogo; and sister to Ana Ferraioli and her husband Gabriel.  Maggie was a proud aunt to Emily Ferraioli and Jonathan Ferraioli and shared their appreciation for funny animal photos.  To her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joao and Conceicao Sousa she was the daughter they never had and more than just a sister-in-law to both Johnny Sousa and Michael Sousa.

elevated U1O3x Maggie was never a fan of big emotional displays or melodrama, and with her rapid decline and passing in the end, she ensured that she wouldn’t have to suffer through a parade of well-meaning loved ones coming to say their last good-byes.  For her close family who were with her near the end, we will always remember her saying, ‘Get lost and stop looking at me”, perhaps with a little more colour and an eye roll.
