It is with deep sorrow that the family of Manuel António Pimentel Silveira announces his passing on February 11, 2026, at the age of 75, following a brief battle with cancer.

elevated Vuja7 Born on September 2, 1950, in Bretanha, São Miguel, Portugal, he was the beloved son of António Brasil and Maria da Conceição Brasil.

elevated Vuja7 He was the devoted husband of Amelia Silveira, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Manuel was a proud father to Diana Belvedere (Joseph), Maggie Silveira, and Daniel Silveira, and a loving grandfather to Jeffrey Belvedere and Julia Silveira-Defazio. He is predeceased by his brother, Fernando Brasil (Melinda). He will also be remembered by his siblings Maria do Carmo (Noe), Alda (Reginaldo), and Octavio, along with extended family and friends.

elevated Vuja7 Manuel was known for his love of playing cards and fishing, his strong work ethic, and his dedication to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

elevated Vuja7 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
