elevated riOf1 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel “Manny” Camara, peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the age of 73.
Predeceased by his parents João and Elvira Camara and his beloved brothers João, Leonardo, and José Camara.
Manny was survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Vidalia.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Danny (Mina) and Adam (Tanya), and his cherished grandchildren; Selina, Diego, and Mia.

Manny wasn’t just my cousin-in-law, he was my friend. He was a good listener who gave me good advice and made me feel like the most important person in the room. He was the king of person who would drop everything to help out a family member, a neighbour or a stranger. I grew closer to Manny (and Vidalia) the last 10 years and always looked forward to seeing him at the trailer park. He took so much pride in everything he built, his friendships, his children, his grandchildren and especially his wife. I will miss him very much.

We are all saddened by the loss of our beloved Manny.
Manny was like a brother to me. For more than 25 years we shared laughs, had a few drinks and became close friends. We started off as neighbors and then quickly became friends after that. Manny was part of my family and as a lawyer he became part of the legal family in my office in Brampton, all the lawyers that shared space with me had fond memories of Manny- he would provide great advice, always with a smile or a joke and always willing to help.
You’ll be greatly missed, even though over the years we didn’t spend as much time together whenever we did reconnect it was as if we chatted yesterday.
I will always remember him and I’m hoping that he finds Eternal peace and rest after such a long Valiant Brave battle.
Knowing him, he would want all of us- not to weep -but to raise a glass in honour of his life and to remember all the good times and the good things he did for everyone so cheers to him!
