It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Silvestre on January 8th, 2026 at the age of 92. Manuel passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
elevated OO7Pp He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria do Natal Silvestre, daughters Nelia (partner Mario), Laurie (son-in-law Gerri), grandchildren Erika, Spencer, Marissa, and Michael and great-grandchildren Mya, Danika, Dominik, and Delfina.
elevated OO7Pp With courage and determination, Manuel came to Canada to build a new life for his family. He worked tirelessly as a truck driver, guided by a strong work ethic and determination, eventually owning his own business.
elevated OO7Pp A passionate supporter of Benfica Football Club and the Montreal Canadiens, he enjoyed cheering on his teams as much as he enjoyed sharing stories and funny anecdotes with friends and family. Above all, Manuel will be remembered for his strength, his sharp sense of humour, loyalty to those he loved and determination in everything he did.
