Obituary
elevated RlCHD It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Rocha Frias, who passed away in Brampton, Ontario, on October 24, 2026, just two days after celebrating his 89th birthday. Born on October 22, 1937, in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Manuel will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, for his love of the outdoors, and the lasting memories he created with those closest to him.
elevated RlCHD Manuel leaves behind his beloved wife, Maria Antonia Frias, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories having just celebrated 63 years of marriage on October 20th. He was a proud and loving father to Lourdes Frias-Leite and Dinarte Frias (Desiree), and a devoted Vavô to Trevor Leite (Maria), Victoria Leite, Raechel Pereira (Ricky), Phoenix Frias, and Xavier Frias.
elevated RlCHD His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and pride. Manuel was a cherished Bisavô to Tiago Manuel Leite, Aurora Leite, Olivia Pereira, Luca Leite, and Leo Leite, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
elevated RlCHD A man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, Manuel had a deep passion for gardening and landscaping. He loved spending time outdoors, tending to his garden, and taking pride in the beauty he created with his own hands. His love for nature was matched only by the love he had for his family, who were always at the centre of his world.
elevated RlCHD Manuel will be remembered for his dedication, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the precious moments he shared with his loved ones. His legacy will live on through the beautiful memories he leaves behind, the family he cherished, and the generations who will continue to honour his life and the love he gave so freely.
elevated RlCHD Though he will be deeply missed, Manuel’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
elevated RlCHD May he rest in eternal peace.

Lourdes and family, we are so sorry for your loss. We know what a special place your Dad has in your heart and the hearts of the entire family. Hopefully your sorrow will be a little less whenever you think back on all of the wonderful memories you created together.
My condolences to the Frias Family.
I remember our time together at Mount Hope Cemetery and Manuel’s hard work and dedication to the families who came to visit the cemetery. He made Mount Hope Cemetery a better place during his time working there.
