It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of Marc Avard on May 16, 2026, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital at the age of 54. Beloved son of David and Joan Avard. Loving husband of 25 years to Filomena “Mena” DiNunzio. Cherished and adored father to Anthony. Dear brother of Dawne (Dave) and brother-in-law of Lou (Cathy). Loving uncle to Michaela, Tony (Lisa), Joseph (Stephanie) and great-uncle to Jaxon, Aubrey, Logan, Gemma, Gabriel and Jake. Marc will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and dear friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
elevated P4VDt Marc was a gentle soul who deeply loved his family. He devoted all his heart to enjoying baseball, hockey and trips with his wife and son. Marc held the highest standard of care to the details of his profession and respect to his colleagues. A smile that shone bright, a quiet observer, an avid Leafs and Blue Jays fan, a lover of Italian Instagram comedy reels, Marc imprinted his spirit in his family and friend’s hearts forever.

I’m really going to miss his weekly comedy vids he sent me. He always had a smile, a joke, and never spoke an ill word of anyone, ever. He was in the truest sense of the phrase, a gentle giant with a big heart. Great father, husband, and son to his parents. We will all miss you Marc. Our lives were all better because you were in them. God Bless.

My little cousin. He was so good with Amanda and Elizabeth. Amanda and he had a special bond when she was little. TMNT, sneaking in Die Hard movies and The Simpsons. I watched him grow from infant to loving husband and father. He has left a whole in the family.
