elevated 3D5nZ Our beloved matriarch, Marcellina Maria Natola, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honour her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
elevated 3D5nZ She was born in Sannicandro, Bari, Italy, on August 15, 1940. Marcellina was named after her maternal grandmother who she dearly loved and admired.
elevated 3D5nZ Devoted wife to Antonio for more than 60 years, loving mother to Angela (Ron), Rose (Dino) and adoring grandmother to Bianca, Monica, Sofia and Lauren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
elevated 3D5nZ She will be remembered for her passion for life, deep love and devotion to family, and spirit of giving.
elevated 3D5nZ Marcellina and Antonio began their love story with their first glance at a dance hall in 1961. Throughout the years, they were often seen twirling around the dance floor at many weddings and parties.
elevated 3D5nZ An adoring nonna to her four granddaughters who she endearingly called her “flowers”. She was a strong presence in their lives throughout the years – she treasured her time with them as babies and young children, and proudly celebrated all their milestones as young adults. Nonna Marcellina looked for any opportunity to shower them with love and affection. Her granddaughters were always on her mind. They brought a new joy to her life, a joy that warmed her heart whenever they were together.
elevated 3D5nZ We admired her strength, integrity and authenticity. We were privileged to have such a special role model in our lives. Cherishing our wonderful memories of the many special “girls only” excursions and birthday lunches. A one-of-a-kind mother and grandmother who demonstrated traditional values with a modern flair. Forte come un leone!
elevated 3D5nZ She found great happiness in hosting family gatherings and celebrations well into her golden years. Marcellina shared her love and appreciation for family and friends through her delicious homemade specialties such as focaccia, calzone di cipolla, pasta al forno, cozze ripiene and glazed taralli, just to name a few.
elevated 3D5nZ Carissima Nonna: The time we had together is a precious gift that we will always treasure. We know you will continue to watch over us from above and shine your light upon us.

We only had the pleasure of meeting your mother/grandmother a couple of times, but we were very impressed with her vitality and fun loving nature. They say you can tell a lot about someone by observing how they raised their family, and certainly in that regard she will have a timeless, wonderful legacy. May she rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to Rose and the families. Maria was as the Obituary say’s Forte come un leone! And she sure left that strength to first her daughters and then her granddaughters who I know will continue to make her proud. When a mother of such stature moves on one can only wonder if God needed some help to get some things organized up there! Whatever the reason, the celebration of her life will live on in her legacy of the family she built.
