It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Margarita “Margie” Noveda Magpile announces her sudden passing on November 14, 2022. Predeceased by her most beloved parents, Fabian and Paz, and her dear brother, Robert. A cherished sister of Mario (Lina), Medy (John), Mel (Danny), Manny (Bernadette), Jaime (Maria), Edith (Si), Aida (Ed), Martha, brother-in-law Calvin and sister-in-law Aleli. Adored aunt of Marvin (Mayette), Anne Marie (her goddaughter), Timothy (Lisa), Christopher (Leah), Matthew (Renée), Andrew, Jacqueline (Mike), Gregory, Rosalyn, Catherine (Lida) and Cherie (Isaiah). Proud great-aunt to Marcus, Michael, Van, Emma, Grace, Aris, Mila and Celine. She is also survived by her loving stepmother Juanita, stepsisters Annie and Arlene, and stepbrothers Allan and Arnold. Margie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and treasured friends as a loving person with a kind soul and contagious smile. Friends are invited to attend and join the family in the celebration of Margie’s life at Holy Cross Funeral Home located at 211 Langstaff Rd East, Thornhill, on Friday, November 18, 2022. Visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Christian interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be kindly appreciated.

Over 13 years ago, when we laid Robert to rest, we wanted him to carry the Bible that you had gifted him and which he treasured dearly. Strangely enough, it was nowhere to be found at that time. You ended up giving him a new one to take with him. Shortly after his funeral, I found it in one of his jacket pockets. It was uncanny that I found it on the day when I felt I needed Robert most. You had folded two pages on this Bible: Psalms 88 and 89. As I learned of your passing, I opened these pages and this was where my eyes brought me: “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.” (89:15) I shall treasure this Bible and carry it with me when my time comes. May you now rest in Peace, Marg. Thank you for always remembering me at Christmas and other occasions. Please give Robert a hug, hold him a while, and tell him it is from me. Xoxoxo
