elevated WOi6V Maria Assunta Del Core (Iannetta), age 77, passed away gracefully and peacefully on Saturday November 21, 2020 in Toronto, surrounded by those who loved her the most, her family. She was born in Boiano, Italy on August 11, 1943 to parent’s Domenico Iannetta and Olimpia Ritota, and was the eldest of four children. Maria emigrated to Toronto with her parents and siblings in 1956. She married Frank Del Core, the love of her life, in 1973 and had two daughters with him. She instilled in her daughters that hard work, honesty and love are the guiding forces of living a God-led life. Despite a robust work life that provided opportunities for her to work in multiple capacities, she ardently dedicated 40 years of her life to volunteering with the elderly. She modelled the importance of caring for others and the vulnerable and loving them unconditionally. Maria was preceded in deaths by her parents, and sister Joanne. She will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, compassionate and pure hearted woman to her family and to the various people and communities she served. A private funeral Mass will be held for immediate family only on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at 9am at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at the same location. Memorials and masses may be made in Maria’s name to any Roman Catholic church.

My Dearest Mary you will be drearily missed. You have always been a wonderful and caring woman. To your amazing daughters they also are strong and emulate your life as you would be so very proud.
Maria, you have been a prime example of a supportive wife and mother.
Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
May you rest in peace.
Maria, you kept your marriage vows for 47 years which is not easy but is truly commendable.
Rest in peace.
Zia….you were truly a loving and caring Zia to me. I’m going to miss you greatly. Although we didn’t see each other too often, but when we got together it was like we never were apart. You always took an interest in me wanting to know things about me and always said you were proud of me. You have always treated me like your own and showed me love. Not once have you ever made me feel unwanted. When my parents parted you never treated us like strangers, I never got to thank you for that. I love you always and forever and you will be missed. Rest in peace.
Dear Zia Marietta, your passing away fills us up with sadness but your memory will always have a special place in our hearts. Fabrizio, Florindo, Mariantonietta e Nicola
