January 2, 1927 – May 19, 2026
Born in Bitritto, Italy, in 1927, Maria carried with her a deep love for family, faith, and tradition throughout her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincenzo Bavaro, whom she dearly missed every day. We find comfort knowing they are now reunited together once again.
Maria was a devoted and loving mother to Vito Bavaro and Mike Bavaro (Rosanna). Cherished Nonna to Jaime Baker (Mike), Sarah Bavaro, and Jenna Ferguson (Adam), and proud Bisnonna to Thomas Baker.
She was the heart of her family — a woman of strong values, unwavering faith, and endless love. A true believer in God and the Catholic faith, she lived her life with kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved most.
Maria will always be remembered for her warm spirit and incredible cooking, especially her famous pasta sauce, which brought family together around the table for generations. Her memory will live on through the treasured recipes she lovingly shared and the traditions she passed down to her family.
We are forever grateful for the time we had with her, for the lessons she taught us, and for the unconditional love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.

My sincerest condolences on the loss of this dear, beautiful soul. I was lucky enough to spend some time with Nonna and enjoy her spectacular cooking over the years, while in the company of Vito and Jaime. I will forever cherish the beautiful seafood dinner she put together so effortlessly one Christmas Eve.
Vito, Jaime, and family – my heart goes out to you. You are such incredible people and I know that Nonna had a lot to do with that. May she rest in peace.
Our condolences to the whole family.
I will always cherish the wonderful times I had in Maria’s company. So many sweet memories. My condolences to Vito, Mike, Jaime, Sarah, Jenna and families.
My deepest condolences and love. I will always hold so dearly to my heart, the beautiful memories spent with Nonna. Her incredible food made with so much love, her smile, the time she so graciously spent with her adored family, and the traditions she shared, all examples of just how remarkable Nonna will always be. I am so thankful for all the years Nonna welcomed me into her home to join her beautiful family for a Sunday lunch, all gathered around to chat and laugh together. Jaime and I always smile as we reminisce about her, and we will forever remember her and the wonderful memories. How beautiful that Nonna will reunite with her dear husband 💕
Please know how much Nonna is loved, and how much you are in our hearts during this most difficult time.
