elevated njV4i It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Colarossi (nee Capocci) on January 4, 2021 in her 90th year. She was born on September 3, 1931 in Settefrati, Frosinone, Italy to Raffaele and Domenica, one of 8 siblings. She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband Pasquale. She will be loved always and missed by her three children Mario (Giovanna), Rita (Frank) and Maurizzio (Anna).
elevated njV4i Nonna Maria enjoyed spending her time with her 5 grandchildren: Stephanie, Frank (Manuela), Alessandro (Angelina), Lara, and David. She was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Giorgio, Marco, Sienna and Emilia.
elevated njV4i She lived a good life spending several summers in Settefrati visiting La Madonna di Canneto and her family. She was well liked by many at her Seniors Residence where she spent the last 16 years of her life.
elevated njV4i She will be missed by her siblings, cousins, many nephews, nieces and friends in Canada, U.S.A and Italy.
elevated njV4i In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Maria’s memory can be made to Sick Kids Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto or charity of choice. Due to COVID-19, a private funeral liturgy will take place followed by entombment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 2021.
