A tribute to my treasured Grandma:
She was one special lady and the loss of her is felt by our entire family.
The love of a grandma is unique.
God must have given grandmothers to us to liven up our lives, to make our lives more complete, to make us well rounded and better human beings.
She played a big part in my childhood and I can remember so many times sitting in her kitchen and tasting the dishes, she prepared with special love.
She taught me a lot about love and the meaning of family. She has never been just ‘my grandmother’, but my best friend and my inspiration.
Still, we can’t believe my lovely Grandma was taken away from us .
I will miss you Grandma, but your spirit and strength, lives on in each of us and in the lives that you touched. She lives on in me and in all those who have been touched by the love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of her soul.
Love you grandma – You truly were a special, special woman! You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on within us.
Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for me. Wherever you are, I know you are in a much better place. I will be forever grateful and thankful that you are my grandmother.
Rest in Peace. We will never forget you and
we will always love you forever.
Your granddaughter,
Daniela

I know how close you two were, your heart is breaking for sure. I really believe if our loved ones could leave us with one more message about their life it would be don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

My fondest memory of Zia was when we would visit her home. She would pull up a stool for me to stand on in front of the kitchen sink. She then would make me wash the dishes and reward me with a $2 bill.

Dear Guiliani family, we are very saddened by the passing of your loved one, Cristina. She was of strong character and fierce in her love for her family. She was very kind to us. We are incredibly grateful for the memories she gave us. May the certain truth of eternal rest for her beautiful spirit with her husband bring you some peace along your pathway to healing.
My dearest Giuliani and Gianfrancesco Family,
Our hearts grieve with you today over the immeasurable loss of this remarkable, truly kind, loving, generous, benevolent woman: your beloved mother and grandmother and our marvelous, sensational aunt. Even among the bevy of beautiful Venditti and spouses’ souls we have had the privilege to know and love, Zia Cristina resonates as supremely unique for her distinctly amicable, charismatic and welcoming presence. She was witty, engaging, personable and so passionate about those she loved, valued and cherished in this world. I particularly admired her impulse control – always choosing her words so carefully knowing their potential impact and always wanting to leave people on the receiving end of her feedback feeling whole. She was fearless, courageous, compassionate and such a doer in life: an ardent feminist ahead of her time. She exemplified and modelled independence and self-reliance. Hence she was able to nurture, protect and provide for three generations with perpetual good will and determination. She was so dignified, refined and non judgmental believing all sources of conflict or misunderstanding could easily be resolved over a good cup of tea, a solid open conversation or just a little more education and insight. I will love and cherish the memory of our endless phone chats, visits, hugs and kisses. I will always remember the way I felt when I looked into the closet, not expecting to find anything new to wear to the school Christmas gathering that year, since my dad was so sick in hospital, and she had unexpectedly surprised my sister Charina and I with gorgeous red Christmas dresses she had spent the night making. I am grateful for all of her precious personalized attention and for the way she made people recognized. She repeatedly and deliberately chose to bring peace, joy, grace and gentleness to her dealings with the world despite all the challenges that came her way. The example of her life will be with all of us she touched so profoundly always. I celebrate her and the honour of having her in my family’s life. I know she is reaping the harvest from all the good she’s done in this world in God’s hands surrounded by her loves in heaven. Dearest family our love and prayers are with you. She adored you all. What a blessing to have such a mom and grandmother. God bless you.
Love Joanne Santilli, Lou Greco, and Teadora Santilli Greco.

My condolences to you and family. I know how close you were to your grandmother. You always had such loving stories of her. Keep those loving memories close to your heart.
We will miss you Zia Cristina.
The memories we have of you will always burn bright in our hearts.
Although we lived 500 miles apart, seeing you would make that distance disappear.
You always made us feel special, whether it was seeing your smile, the words that you said or your baking and cooking.
We are deeply saddened that you will no longer walk amongst us but joyful that you will be at peace with your brothers and sisters.
Love,
Maria and John Venditti
Danella, my thoughts and heart are with you during this time. I’m so sorry for the loss of your grandmother, as I know she was a special person in your life. May the many happy memories that you made together be a consolation today and all the days ahead. I send you my sincere condolences and sympathies.
Our Condolences to Lina & Vic & families
I still remember the summer months when we were kids. With sleepovers at Zia Cristina & Zio Gennaro’s house, and playing in the fields behind. Dinner was always a treat with her famous pineapple chicken.
Daniella, Carol and Family,
Our hearts go out to you – please accept our most sincere condolences and sympathies.
I can’t count the times, Daniella, that we spoke of Cristina. Your love for your Nonna was not just spoken, but shown through your actions, every day, for as long as I have known you.
While we knew this time would come, Linda and I know how deep your grief must be. Nothing we can say will ease that pain. But we also known that Cristina is now at peace, and she will never be far from your thoughts. Loving memories of happier times will fill the void of her physical presence.
May the love of family and friends bring your strength, and may time bring you comfort and peace.
I just heard about the passing of your grandmother, Daniella. So sorry.
At least she had a devoted granddaughter such as you. All the best in the months ahead.
Your occasional lunchmate at CLHIA,
Jim Witol

We will definitely miss you dear Cristina!! Through my acquaintance of 10 years with you, I hv known a great deal of your personality inspite of your silence most of the time. Your silence also spoke volumes about how loving and caring you have been as a person, through your smiling eyes and minimum words. A helpful, tender-hearted, dove-spirited and beautiful inside-out, you were indeed blessed with an equally loving family in Ms.Carol and sweet Daniella who spent their days n nights with you when you needed them, making every effort to keep you and bring you back to full health tirelessly sacrificing their comfort, rest, work and sleep. Your exemplary life must have benefitted all around you for which now you will be reaping rewards up above, being in the strong, everlasting loving arms of our Heavenly Father. No more pain, no more suffering there!! You will always reign in the hearts of your family and friends and also all your care givers. Love you always my dear!!

I will always have the fondest of memories and I can hear her voice and her laugh like it was yesterday. May all of your memories of your grandmother give you comfort in the times ahead.
Throughout my many years of association with Daniella, I came to recognize the roles Christina played in her family, and most vividly in her relationship with Daniella, as leader, role model, and mentor who positively influenced the life of her granddaughter. She will for me always exemplify and aid in my understanding of the importance of grandmothers in the transmission of culture, love and of family values.
Cara Mamma,
My wonderful mother was a special person.
Mom: I will always remember your bright smile, your love, and your fun spirit.
I will love you forever. May you rest in peace.
