elevated lvg2S Obituary

elevated lvg2S It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our remarkable mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Maria Elcina Salvati Palumbo, who left us at the age of 93 on May 23, 2026 in Toronto, Ontario.

elevated lvg2S Born on November 17,1932 in Abbateggio, Abruzzo, Italy, Elcina lived a long and meaningful life centered around family, friends, hard work, and generosity. She was the eldest of eight sisters and brothers– Clementina, Domenico (D), Carmela, Donata, Vittorio, Giovanni (D) and Biagio. She was a devoted mother whose strength, courage, wisdom, and unconditional love shaped the lives of her three sons and all who knew her.

elevated lvg2S Elcina was predeceased by her husband, Cesidio Palumbo, and is lovingly remembered by her children and daughters-in-law; Enzo and Patricia Palumbo, Graziano and Angie Palumbo and Emidio Palumbo…as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. Her home was always open, her meals always delicious, and her heart always full of care for others.

elevated lvg2S She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, walking, church, music, knitting, sewing, watching the Leafs and other Toronto sports teams, but found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren Sarah, Mark, Katherine and Christopher…as well as her great-grandchildren Dylan, Charlotte, Arianna, Leonardo, Finn, Nicole and Oliver. Her stories, laughter, and fierce spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

elevated lvg2S The family would like to thank Lily Pang for her compassion and care.

elevated lvg2S Donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

elevated lvg2S Forever loved, forever remembered.
