elevated jVWsl Obituary

elevated jVWsl Maria Eunicia Rodrigues
December 17, 1931 – April 20th, 2026

elevated jVWsl Maria Eunicia Rodrigues, known lovingly as Eunice, “Vovó Nice” to her grandchildren and “Vovó Zinga” to her great-grandchildren, held a special place in the hearts of her family. Born in Lourinhã, Portugal, she lived a long and meaningful 94 years of life defined by strength, resilience, and devotion.

elevated jVWsl A tireless and proud worker, Eunice began working at the age of 12 with a local seamstress, learning a craft that would define much of her working years. After immigrating to Canada, she built a long and accomplished career as a skilled seamstress, later ending her working years at George Brown College, a role she truly enjoyed and where her dedication continued to shine.

elevated jVWsl Above all, Eunice was deeply devoted to her family. She was a loving mother to Nelson, and a dear friend to her daughter-in-law, Annabel. She was a proud grandmother to Sara and Ryan, and lovingly welcomed their spouses, Mathew and Dina, into the family. The arrival of her great-grandchildren Ava, Mila and Elliott brought new light and laughter into her life.

elevated jVWsl Known for her strong values, honesty, loyalty, and selflessness, Eunice lived simply and gave endlessly to those around her. She had a deep passion for food—shopping for it, cooking it, and most of all, sharing it. Completely self-taught, she was an exceptional cook, and found immense pleasure in feeding those she loved. Gifted with an extraordinary memory, she recalled grocery prices to the second decimal and birthdays of strangers alike, and through her stories, she stitched together family history from one generation to the next.

elevated jVWsl Eunice will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a loyal friend, and a woman whose perseverance left a lasting imprint on all

elevated jVWsl In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Villa Charities Foundation.

elevated jVWsl She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
