elevated lcy6l Obituary
It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Maria Formusa, in Richmond Hill, surrounded by the love of her family. Maria was born in Termini Imerese, Sicily, to the late Calogero and Maria Zuccaro. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giacomo Formusa and her brother Salvatore (Dorotea). Maria was a loving mother to Salvatore (Mary), Gino (Laura), and Rose Marie (Anthony) Cusimano. She was a cherished Nonna to Adriana (Michael), Rosemary, James (Daniella), Michael (Caitlin), Christopher (Jordana), and Nicholas. She was also an adored Big Nonna to Luca, Matthew, Emilia, and Michael Jr. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to their mother’s caregiver, Anna, as well as Marlyn and Marilyn for their compassion and dedication. We also wish to thank the staff at Sunrise Nursing Home for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to Blessed Trinity Parish.
