elevated RhU3Q It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Maria Lombardi on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Humber River Regional Hospital.
elevated RhU3Q Maria was the beloved wife of the late Michele Lombardi (1978). Loving mother of Rocco and his wife Anna, and Rita and her husband Vincent.
elevated RhU3Q Cherished nonna of Michael, Alessandra, Anthony, Stefan and Thomas. Survived by loving sister, Pasqualina, and sadly missed by her loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

My dear Rita and Rocco, I am so sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of your wonderful mother and gracious lady, Maria.
I recently was in Toronto and one day my mother, Dominic, Sally, and I thought to surprise her, but she was not home. Sadly, this was the first time I missed seeing her on my visits to Toronto in forty-seven years. I will always remember her calm demeanor and warm kind smile, especially when I visited her after Tony passed away. She held both my hands tightly and told me I had to be strong. She spoke from personal experience.
Relish all those beautiful memories of your beloved mother and grandmother. Sending you all ‘un abbraccio forte’.
To Rita and Rocco and the family, Your Mum was such a gem of a lady, always with a welcoming smile. Maria was so humble and kind, and always made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. She raised a wonderful family, and will be missed by all who knew her. May a flight of Angels see thee to thy rest
To Rocco and Family & Rita and Family, I am at a loss for adequate words to express my sadness for you. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing your Mom most of my life as she and your Dad became my Godparents in 1961. I know heaven just received an angel and she will be very happy to finally be with your Dad.

It seems like just yesterday when Tony introduced me to you, Maria, and Mike. I remember your smile, the way it lit your beautiful face and your beautiful eyes at how happy you both were to have met me. You always made me feel so comfortable and so welcome.
You had the gift of inner peace which not only was it felt but it was heard in your tone of voice and you had such sweet gentle mannerism to make everyone around you feel at peace.
I remember always looking forward to seeing you and spending that time, short as it may have been, speaking with you and finding out what each had been up to.
Life, had its own agenda, and as such I didn’t get to spend as much time as I had wished with you. However, Maria, please know that you are one of a very few people who always made me feel at peace and happy during our visits. I missed out on our possible time together here but know that I admire you so much and always looked at you as someone that I could look up to and idolize.
Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for sharing your smiles and making me always feel liked. Thank for being part of my life but moreover, thank you for letting me be part of yours.
I will miss you Maria.
