elevated P27Fz It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Lucente on April 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81. Maria was born on October 24, 1942, in Figline-Vegliaturo, in the province of Cosenza, Italy, to her mother Adele and father Franco. Maria was the second youngest child of six. She was a caring and devoted mother to Ornella (Joe) and Marco, a proud Nana to Adam, Jessica (Alex), and a Bis Nana to Russell and Wesley. Maria was a loving sister to Elena, Salvatore (Elena), Antonio (Sandra), and sister-in-law Daisy.
elevated P27Fz Maria will be reunited in heaven with her loving husband Renato and loving partner Mario, as well as her siblings Rosalba (Tony), Eduardo, and Emilio.
elevated P27Fz She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, baking, and dancing. Maria always had a smile on her face and wanted to ensure everyone around her was enjoying their time.
elevated P27Fz Maria profoundly impacted many lives with her infectious love, care, and joyful personality. Above all, she instilled the importance of family in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by doing everything and anything she could for them. This has created a strong bond among Maria’s family that they will always hold dear to their hearts.

My heart goes out to you and your family as you grieve the loss of your beloved mother. My family have only happy memories of Zia Maria and our times all together.
Zia Maria was left with two small children to raise after the passing of her husband, Zio Renato, at a very young age. She raised Ornella e Marco flawlessly teaching them the importance of family connection. Her bond towards our family was immense and everlasting. Zia Maria was the kindest most serene most loving, and thankful person I ever met, putting everyone in front of her. Finding time to call us, even if it was just to say …hello….She loved us beyond words.
Her passing was devestating news and I will be forever grateful for her unconditional love.
