It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria (Mary) Teresa Borean (nee Culos), who left us peacefully at her home on February 6th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Rino, her parents Giovanni Culos and Marceluna Bertolin, and siblings Louie, Danny, and Carmen.
elevated vhNh9 Mary is survived by her sons Gianni (Fiorella) and Claudio (Luisa); her cherished grandchildren Sarah (Hugo), Michael (Alice), Kristian and Jennifer; and great grandchild Ellie.
elevated vhNh9 Born in Casarsa della Delizia, Fruili, in 1937, Mary immigrated to Canada in 1955. Mary’s legacy is one of strength, resilience, and independence. She took immense pride in her clothing business and held an unwavering commitment to her family.
elevated vhNh9 Mary will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by her extended family, many friends, and all whose lives she touched.

My warmest thoughts as you go through this time of loss. I have fond memories of your Mom, Mrs Borean, growing up. Her beautiful gardens, her blue velvet couch in the front room and most of all the coffee from a bowl that you had in the morning sometimes. Strange, the things that stick out in our memories. Your Mom, a few years younger than mine, would ask about her if she hadn’t seen Margaret in a while…I always appreciated that. Please accept our warmest thoughts and condolences.
