elevated jA6yJ Maria Mauro passed away peacefully at the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence on July 12, 2018. She was in her 83rd year.
elevated jA6yJ Born on November 18, 1935 in Malito, Cosenza, Italy, Maria made Canada her home in 1955. Maria was the beloved wife of Antonio Mauro of East York, Toronto. She was the much loved mother of Rosemary Schuler (Colin) of Richmond Hill, Ontario and of John Mauro (Eva) of Ajax, and grandmother of Michael (Dianna-Rose), Alexander, Robert, Madison and Breanna.
elevated jA6yJ Maria was the dear sister of Angelo Turco and the late Teresa Laura Degli-Angeli.
elevated jA6yJ The Mauro family will receive visitors at Holy Cross Funeral Home, Thornhill, Ontario on Sunday July 15 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm.
elevated jA6yJ Mass will take place on Monday July 16 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of St. Joseph, located within Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
elevated jA6yJ If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Cardinal Ambrozic House of Providence, Scarborough, Ontario.

Maria was a very dear woman, although my time spent with her was short, I always looked forward to seeing her every time I worked. Maria was always positive any time you asked her how she was doing. She will be dearly missed. Take courage and comfort from the hope from the bible. The family are in my thoughts and prayers.
