elevated STW8h It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Muscat, 82, of Toronto, ON, announce her passing on August 6, 2025. Maria was born on April 26, 1943, to George and Teresa Galea in Qormi, Malta. She emigrated to Canada in 1955, and she met Joe, the love of her life, in 1960. They married on December 30, 1961. Together, they raised three children – Tessy, Antoinette and George.
elevated STW8h Maria was a kind, charitable and wonderful woman who will be missed by family and her many work and neighborhood friends. She was devout in her faith and opened her heart and home to family and friends. She will be remembered as someone who always put the needs of others before her own. Most of all, she will be remembered for the unwavering and limitless love she had for her husband, children, grandchildren and granddaughter.
elevated STW8h Maria was predeceased by her husband, Joe, and her sibling Johnny. She is survived by her daughters Tessy (Carlos) and Antoinette (Wayne), her son George (Rachel), her grandchildren Josh (Jenifer), Katherine (Adam), Ty, and Adam, her great granddaughter Sybil, and her siblings Fred, Carmana, Tony and Michael.

Dear Muscat and Galea family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of Maria. She was such a kind lovely soul who always made me feel welcomed when I saw her.
I will always remember her offering me a coffee or her famous “baked rice” upon entering the house – making sure I was comfortable and fed! I will also hold fondly the times we would sit and laugh with family on the porch.
May she rest in peace, be reunited with Joe and watch over and love us from heaven.
Dear Tessy, Ant & George being with your whole family and your mother with our kids over the years is such a great memory. Many a gathering. So much laughter and wonderful conversation. May she rest in peace.
