elevated 7RlrO It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Ostercil (nie Miegl), our Mother, Grandma, Oma, and Tante. God called onto Maria on Friday, January 13, 2023 and she passed away peacefully at Bradford Valley Care Community Centre at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Alexander. Loving mother of Maria “Maja”, Peter (Barbra), and Christine “Chris” and second mother to Jane “Hon” (Dean). Adored grandmother and Oma to Cathleen (Dave), Robert “Bobby,” Alison (Derek), Peter Jr. (Kaitlyn), Mark, Kevin, and Shane and “Tante Yante” to Tonia and Ian, Jacob and Taryn. Cherished great grandmother of Erin, Chloe, Chelsea, Jaxtin, Bennett, Tessa, Miller and Logan. Predeceased by her sister Martha. Tante to Rita and Rob. Maria will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all of her family, friends and those she touched with her life. A heartfelt thanks to the Bradford Valley Care Community Harvest House staff for their kindness and compassion both during her time at Bradford Valley and in her final days. Maria has now gone to be reunited with her husband and parents, who have welcomed her with open arms. May she rest in peace.

I have such fond memories of Newlin Cres. Oma and Opa always welcomed us in. Something was always cooking and Opa would crack open a beer.
