With heavy hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Maria De Lourdes Pereira, age 89, on June 22, 2026, at Lakeridge Ajax Hospital.

elevated EXgIT Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Maria immigrated to Canada to join her husband, Jose (Joe) Luis Pereira, and together they built a family and a life in their new home. Lourdes cherished her family deeply and was devoted and endlessly generous to those she loved. Through life’s challenges, she showed quiet strength and remained a constant presence in her family’s lives.

elevated EXgIT Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Joe, Maria was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Allan Pereira (Anita), and William Pereira (Anna), and by her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, and Sabrina, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
