It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Rasetta on May 8, 2026. Maria was surrounded by her family during her final moments after a courageous battle with cancer. Maria is greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Mario, loving son Vincenzo, parents Francesco and Assunta, and sister Dora. She is survived by her cherished son Franco (Daniela), grandchildren Annalisa (Robert), Matteo (Lauren) and Daniele (Rae), great grandchildren Amelia, River, Roberto Jr., Rylee, Forrest, and Daniel. She leaves behind her loving siblings Carmine, Connie, Pina (John), Mario (Anna), and Franca (Domenic), nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews as well as her devoted companion Emanuele. A special thank you to Amarjit (Amo) her caregiver and companion over the past two years for her loving care and attention. Maria will be missed and lovingly remembered by friends and family.

Maria will always be remembered for her unconditional love,dedication and support that she gave to her grandchildren. They were truly blessed to have such a wonderful Nonna.

Franco, I am so sorry. Your Mom was a great woman. Our family have great memories. So many stories, so much laughter. I will always remember your Mom smiling.
She was so kind and such a loving and giving Lady.
It was my honour to have visited her, shared my scones, enjoyed a cup of coffee as we talked and prayed together. She is in glory, she is perfect and healed.
May God give you the strength, peace and comfort to know that.
God will bless you as He already has and will honour you with great health and long life as you honoured, respected and cared for, your Mother, for all these years.

My deepest condolences to Franco and Rasetta family on the loss of your mom Maria, no more suffering, may she rest in peace.
It’s so shattering and utterly devastating for us, next door neighbours of Maria Rasetta, to find her no more amongst us.
We thanked god, ever since we moved next door to her, more than 8 years ago, to have a pleasant and cheerful neighbour in Maria. Always smiling, she shared pleasantries with us every time that we found her lounging in her front balcony.
Now that she’s gone, we shall miss her. It’s going to be a sad and heavy burden to bear.
May god bless her in her eternal abode and give her a place in the highest echelon of Paradise.
