There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is LOVE. When the people we love die to have them live on is to never stop loving them.

Maria was more like the big sister I never had…not just a cousin. I remember us living across the street from each other and how close our families were. She would take me with her, often, visiting relatives. Many a fun time was had at Helen and Alec’s house. She was strong, kind and generous. She was a “take charge” kind of woman and often took over when people were in need, especially to organize an event like a bridal shower or party. I will fondly remember our pizzas at the cottage and our white wine….with lots of ice and in a real glass. Cheers to you Maria! You will be missed.
Maria,
Whenever I think of you (and uncle Joe) I think about all of the fun times we had at the cottage. I am so grateful for all of those wonderful years and memories together. You were such a kind and generous person. You showed Steve and I SO much love growing up and I will hold that in my heart forever. I am happy that you are reunited with uncle Joe and can now enjoy eternity together. I will never forget you and uncle Joe and love you both immensely. RIP Angel. My deepest condolences to Dodi, Victor and the family. Love, Kristie XOXO
You laid there in that hospital
bed you tried so hard to hold on.
God was calling you home. He needed
another angel to help pour out the rain as it was raining that faithful day.
Tears have fallen, hearts where shattered, when the news had reached our ears, but it was time for you to fly home.
Mommy and Titia Angelica came to say their last goodbyes,
to tell you they loved you, and that you will be forever missed.
As your heartbeat stopped, and your eyes slowly closed,
God took another angel home to be with her beloved Joe.
Rest In Peace titia Maria I love you till the end of time xo
Dear Cousin Maria:
I’ll always remember your visits to the States. You were always interested in knowing your American relatives. I have fond memories of you and your beloved husband Joe swimming in Widemarsh Beach in Fairhaven and your visits to Tia Lurdes’s house in New Bedford. You were always full of life and fun. May the angels welcome you in heaven and may you rest in peace.
In loving memory,
Anna Carvalho Cole
