elevated wCm0q Obituary
elevated wCm0q We lost our Mama, Marianna Fracassi, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She had been suffering from dementia for several years, and she finally lost the strength to battle.
elevated wCm0q Marianna was born in Limosano, Molise. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered for her strength, her love for her family, and her deep sense of duty. She especially cherished her grandchildren, who kept her busy and at times exhausted, but always happy to be part of their lives.
elevated wCm0q She is survived by her son, John Fracassi; her granddaughters Bethany, Adrian, Allegra, and Julia Fracassi; her youngest sibling, Frank Colavecchia; and her oldest sister, Addolorata Fracassi.
elevated wCm0q Marianna was predeceased by her husband, Alberto Fracassi, who passed in May 1991; her grandson, Roman Fracassi, who passed in December 2022; her older sister, Severia Iamonaco; and her youngest sister, Cesina Ioia.
elevated wCm0q Mama was almost as devoted to her summer garden as she was to her grandkids. She loved tending to her backyard vegetables with care and expertise, often sharing the fruits of her labor with neighbors. One of her favorite social activities was gathering with her Italian seniors club, where members met weekly to entertain each other, gossip, play games, do yoga, and watch telenovelas. She also enjoyed outings to local casinos with friends, returning home to boast about her “winnings.” She loved the slots but always knew her limits and played responsibly.
elevated wCm0q In her later years, Mama grew fond of long-distance vacations to escape the winter months. She blended right in with her grandchildren, whether walking on the beach, dipping her toes in the ocean, or sampling Mexican and Cuban delicacies. Though her English was limited, it never held her back. She had a gift for spotting fellow Italians in any crowd and creating instant friendships.
elevated wCm0q Mama was also a long-time member of St. Pascal Baylon Parish, which she and her husband began attending when they moved into the neighborhood in 1979. In her final years, she could no longer attend in person, but she insisted on tuning in to televised Sunday morning masses, faithfully following along with the worship and prayers.
elevated wCm0q A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Marianna’s life.
elevated wCm0q Our family will miss this humble, sincere woman deeply. But we take comfort in knowing she is in a better place, her suffering has ended, and she is reunited with her devoted husband, her grandson, and her loved ones.
elevated wCm0q You are forever in our hearts, Mama.
