It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that Marianna Kaminski, née Jaworska, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 8, 2026.
elevated 2TPDY Marianna was born on December 8, 1934, in Nowy Szelków, Rudka, Poland, to the late Anna and Franciszek Jaworscy. On November 13, 1960, she married Boguslaw, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, love, partnership, and devotion.
elevated 2TPDY She is survived and dearly missed by her beloved husband, Boguslaw; her three children, Dariusz, Slawomir, and Anna; her daughter-in-law, Maria; her son-in-law, Lincoln; and her adored grandchildren, Marcel, Julia, Emma, Maxwell, and Peter. She is also survived by her brother, Kazimierz, and is predeceased by her beloved sisters, Zofia, Irena, and Jadwiga.
elevated 2TPDY Marianna worked as an elementary school teacher in Szelków, Poland, for more than 20 years. In 1981, at the age of 47 and during the height of the communist era, Marianna and Boguslaw bravely started a new life in Canada. This courageous move came with great sacrifice, including the painful separation from their eldest son, Dariusz, who remained in Warsaw while studying medicine.
elevated 2TPDY In Canada, Marianna became an active and cherished member of the Polish community. She volunteered with the Women’s Circle at the Cambridge Polish Association and, in 2005, received an order of recognition from the Polish Alliance of Canada, Branch 6-27.
elevated 2TPDY Marianna was a woman of strong faith and gave her time freely in support of the Polish Catholic Mission in Cambridge. She contributed to the running of the mission, which supported the community for more than 20 years.
elevated 2TPDY Marianna touched many lives with her kindness, generosity, and love. Her way was patient and gentle, but her influence was immense. She kept her Polish traditions alive through her family, making sure her grandchildren were raised on an unlimited supply of pierogies, cabbage rolls, and love.
elevated 2TPDY She was also an avid gardener and had a special gift for nurturing life. Whether caring for her family, her faith, or her garden, she devoted herself wholeheartedly and took great joy in watching those around her flourish.
elevated 2TPDY She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
elevated 2TPDY Mamo, kochamy Cię i dziękujemy za Twoją miłość, siłę i poświęcenie. Na zawsze pozostaniesz w naszych sercach
