So very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing and condolences to the families
So sorry to hear this. What I loved about Marie was her spirit for life . May she rest in peace my condolences to the family
I am so blessed to have had you as my mother for 67 years. You did so much over the years for your husband and your children. You sacrificed, worked hard and always went the extra mile to give us all the little extras when we were kids. You were never shy about helping us realize right from wrong growing up and am grateful for your never-ending support and guidance. I will always cherish our spirited political debates, our trips to Florida, walks around Mill Pond, and our day trips to Port Perry where you loved to shop for shoes, have lunch and sit by the water. I am so pleased you had a full and happy life replete with so many friends and family. Rest easy Mom. Love your Son
To the family of Marie,
It was truly a blessing to have known your mother. Her kindness, her smile, and the light she brought to Holland Gardens will be greatly missed. I will carry fond memories of her always. Wishing her peaceful rest.
Dearest Marie . I’m very sad that you are no longer with us. I will forever remember our fun conversations and discussions we had around the lunch and dinner table here at Holland Gardens.May you rest in peace. I miss you a lot.
I’m glad you were part of my life. We enjoyed doing many things together ie bingo, sharing birthday lunches, going to New York, taking day trips, and/or just hanging out. I will miss you.
My condolences to your daughter and sons, nieces, and nephews, grandchildren, and the great grandchildren.

May you rest in sweet peace Marie.
You have been present in my life all these 26 years that we said goodbye in June 2000 to my mom, your dear friend (Carmel). I know it hasn’t been easy through this illness. I’m glad to know you are no longer suffering.
I marvelled at how you remembered everything from all those years ago when we spoke as I visited you. We laughed and did not shed any tears (because you didn’t, sure as heck held my cool together). So, We had a nice cool ginger ale and we spoke of loved ones. You were so happy to show me the pics of your beautiful family and how it’s grown. We remembered some funny times and you wanted to know about Steve and Abi … about all the stories. I let you listen to Abi singing ABBA (one of your faves). Finally, you confided about knowing you would not make it to an upcoming special wedding and sad to disappoint them. Then, you asked me if I thought people would remember you …
Marie, as I told you that day, you have spread so much love and LOVE is always remembered. You have made a profound impact and leave an abundant legacy. I had you recall how easily you spoke of my mom just moment before with joy and it’s been 26 years since you saw her … so, know this. You are Will always be in the hearts of those who love you and therefore always with them, just differently.
My deepest condolences to everyone who knows heaven gained another angel. Give Terry, my mom and dad a hug for me.
Gord…well said. Thank you. We were not raised by just our parents alone….they had help with our good friends parents…and Marie and Terry were definately two of the BEST! All of the Abbott family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I worked with Marie at Procter and Gamble where we shared so many memories together. She was such a pleasure to work with. She made me laugh and kept me calm when things got stressful with the workload. I got to know her wonderful family and she even use to invite my kids for a swim in her pool and we all enjoyed the barbecue burgers as well. I am so glad I met you Marie and may you rest in peace.
Dear Darlene,
I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your mom. My heart goes out to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.
Having lost my own mom, I know there are no words that truly make it easier, and everyone’s experience is different, but I do understand how deep this kind of loss can feel. I hope you give yourself grace and take the time you need.
I hope that, in time, the memories, love, and moments you shared with your mom bring you comfort and strength. Please know I’m thinking of you and sending my heartfelt condolences.
With sympathy and caring thoughts,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Marie.
We remember how kind and friendly Marie and Terry were to us when we first met them.
We enjoyed many card games, dinners out and bus trips to the casino. Marie was a lovely person and we will miss her greatly.
I will miss you Marie. Friendship shows no age barrier and I appreciate meeting all those years ago at Procter & Gamble. Our time around the pool with you and Terry will always be remembered with fondness. May you rest in peace my friend.
